We didnt take special classes or watch videos, but i know reading about successful natch birth stories were helpful for me. They give you lots of scenarios as possibilities, which is nice bc you never know exactly how things will go in your individual situation.
Try the natural birth board. You might get more specifics over there. If the videos aren't helpful, books may be more your style. Worked that way for me.
I've seen a lot of natural birth videos where the mother is not screaming and is actually quite calm. Probably a waste to tell you to go check those out, but you should.

Too late, you were genuinely RUDE.
I was induced because of leaking waters. The pitocin didn't do crap for me... no dilation, no pain. I had to be balloon dilated (that hurt) and it still took DS finally flipping over from sunny side up to get things moving. Oh, and I had an epi and it still hurt when it came time to push. Birth hurts. Nothing wrong with doing it unmediated. I'm going to try for less medication this time around, hoping DD here cooperates.
And if pain isn't your thing.... have you looked into the recovery process of a c-section? Why would you do that with no medical reason behind it? Your vagina is designed to recover from the abuse child birth can put it through, your abdominal wall is NOT designed to be cut open. Obviously c-sections have their place saving lives and I would never bash a woman that had a necessary one, but I do not understand voluntarily putting yourself through a major surgery that you might not have to have.
For one, there's a difference between natural childbirth and med-free childbirth as far as I'm concerned. Childbirth is a natural process and some women choose to be medicated. Some women need to have interventions. The process is still natural.
After seeing videos of both medicated and non-medicated births I knew what was the right decision for me. I went med-free with DS and will absolutely do it again unless interventions are necessary.
But whether you have an epidural, go med-free, or get a c-section something will most likely be torn and you will probably have stitches and it's still going to hurt like a bitch.
But good luck with your magical, pain-free birth.
Fear/nervousness over something you've never experienced is totally understandable. I've been under the knife to have a hearing implant put into my skull, so I've had experience with surgical recovery time too.
This is your abdomen we're talking about though. Cutting into your abdominal wall weakens it and every surgery has risks. It's obviously recoverable, many many women get c-sections... but most get them because they are medically necessary for the health of themselves or their child. I can't really speak to the specifics of having a c-section as I delivered my son vaginally, but I did find some good information on the indications for, types of, risks, and recovery here.
If the only reason you want to do an elective c-section is nervousness about childbirth I highly recommend speaking to a counselor about your anxieties. A scheduled C is similar to an early induction in that you could be bringing baby out before they are ready. Lung maturation is very important in the last weeks of pregnancy, letting LO decide when to come out is always ideal. For the sake of your LO please put some more thought into this.

"Never in my arms, Always in my heart"
And fwiw, I ended up with a c/s (nothing to do with having the epi) and while labor hurt like hell prior to my epi I still would never recommend having major abdominal surgery just because you are afraid of a vaginal delivery. I'm having an RCS in a week and am at peace with this decision, but trust me when I say that recovery is no walk in the park (and I had a very "easy" recovery with no complications).
