Overnight on Friday LO came down with a fever. We called the pediatrician Saturday morning and she sent us to the ER. We were admitted to the NICU (due to her small size) where we still are. She continues to have a fever and gastric distress.
Please send us good thoughts. It's terrible to watch your LO in do much discomfort

Update (Sunday night): on the up side, Temurlang2 is eating better and quite lively. On the downside, the fever persists and they haven't found anything wrong. I had a meltdown today when they said no more BF and put her on an IV. DH found a more senior doctor who overturned that decision and both of us were happier. No indication of when we might go home.
Update (Monday night): They were able to stop one of the antibiotics tonight! Yay! They're pretty sure it's a virus but they're still testing. And LO managed to gain 6 oz since admission, which seems positive.
Update (Tuesday night): today they stopped antibiotics and poor LO is finally rid of her IV. Her fever is lower, but still there, so we aren't released yet. We are cautiously optimistic for tomorrow.
Update (Wednesday): We're home! LO's fever came down over night and we were discharged this afternoon! So glad to have her home and not hooked up to a million things! I don't know how those of you who had long term NICU stays did it.
