Is there anything you can't take during stims for a headache?

    I was wondering the same thing today. I'm not on Lupron (only gonal-f) but I've had a crazy headache for three days now :(
    TTC#1 
    BFP 2/14/11, missed m/c 9 weeks. d&e 3/24/11
    BFP 12/10/11 d&e at 13wk+4days 2/17/12
    Dx with Balanced Robertsonian Translocation (13;14) moving on to IVF w/ PGD
    IVF #1 (May 2012) 13R, 10F, 5 blasts, ONE NORMAL frozen no transfer
    IVF #2 (July 2012) 17R, 8F, 5  blasts, ONE NORMAL 6dt on 7/12/2012- c/p
    IVF #3 (Sept. 2012) 39R, 25F, 13 blasts,  3 NORMALS! Freeze-all due to high E2.
    FET #1 10/23- 2 expanded blasts, Beta #1 11/1- 113, Beta #2 11/4-351, Beta #3 11/7- 1213

    FET -1/14- c/p
    IVF #4 (Feb 2014)- 49R, 28F, 13 blasts, 7 NORMALS! eSET of a normal blast on 2/24/14, 6 frosties.
    Beta #1 3/4/14- 105. Beta #2 3/7/13- 397 EDD-11/11/14. 1st u/s 3/20- 6w2d lil' bean with 120hb. 7w0d- lil bean's hb was 144. Graduated from RE 3/25/14.

    I've had headaches since I started Lupron which has been about 2 1/2 weeks. My RE didn't tell me not to take anything but I just stick with tylenol to try and be safe. Hope your head feels better!

    so sorry you have a headache....it is a normal side effect from Lupron. My RE said I could take Tylenol when I can't stand it anymore. He specifically instructed me not to take ibuprofen, only Tylenol. I would go to bed early most nights and have my DH play with my hair. It helped a little....something is better than nothing.

    Hope it goes away soon!!

    My nurse tolde Tylenol was fine
    Me:30, DH:33 TTC : 2010 Dx: March 2011 Azoospermia. TESE Feb 2012, Sperm was found. Me:All Blood work are good. Tubes are clear.     Ouch! I had a headache for the first two days on lupron. Tylenol and an ice pack on the head helped. Good luck!

    I'm so sorry you and the others are going through this. I had it on Lupron too. 

    I actually had a hormonal migraine yesterday too (but I'm only on BCPs). I suffer from them when I'm not TTC as well. 

    Tylenol can help, sometime, but they're hormonal headaches so not much will touch them. Sometimes heat can help (on your head or neck), or a dark and quiet room (if you can get there). Lots of liquids and occasionally a steamy shower will help too. Another thing you can try is a bit of caffeine. I know most of us are trying to stay away from it, but if you're dying of headache some regular coke or a small cup of regular coffee won't hurt. 

    Take care ladies. I know how much they suck.

    Long story: trying on our own + testing testing testing with 6 rounds of Clomid, more testing, injectables + TI, laparoscopy - one tube blocked, 2 IUIs with Follistim...BFNs.
    RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal

    Moving on to IVF.

    IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy

    Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
    IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
    FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
    Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427. 1st u/s showed a healthy heartbeat! EDD 2/16/14

    After 4 years of hoping and heartbreak, our sweet little bean was born on 2/19/14
    We are so in love with her.

    I swear peppermint will really help! I ate boxes of altoids while on lupron. It worked even better than tylenol. Also, you can use heat or ice packs on the back of your neck and that will really help.

    Lupron is the worst! ((hugs))

    Dx: DH - Azoo, Me - Mild PCOS
    DH - sperm found! Seems to produce only for a few days every 70 days!
    Over 1 million in cryo in 15 vials over 6 samples
    IVF #1 - 1 beautiful expanded blast transferred, 4 snowbabies - beta #1 11/30/11 = BFFN
    FET #1, transfered 2 embies 2/16/12 = BFFN; 1 snowbaby left in cryo
    IVF #2 + CGH = 4 genetically normal embies on ice. FET September 26th
    SAIF/PAIF always welcome

    I had horrible headaches on Lupron the week after stopping BCP and starting stims. Once stims kicked in, I was fine.

    My RE said Tylenol only.

    I used a heating pad on the back of my neck and an ice pack on my forehead (same time). It helped a lot.  

    Single Mother by Choice. Life didn't work out the way I planned so I did it on my own. IUI #s 1-3, unmedicated = BFN, IUI #s 4-6, 50mg Clomid, Ovidrel = BFN IVF #1: 23R, 20M, 17F. 5 day transfer 2 blasts. 2 Snowbabies BFP 6dp5dt, Beta #1 7dp5dt = 58, Beta #2 9dp5dt = 114, Beta #3 10dp5dt = 187 1st Ultrasound = 5/3, not much to see yet. 2nd Ultrasound = 5/17, TWINS!!! Hospital Bed Rest at 32 weeks due to pre-ecclampsia and severe edema. Audrey Grace, 5lbs9oz, & Lydia Louise, 6lbs, born via emergency c-section on 12/6/12 at 36w1d My IVF Journey

    I am sorry you have bad headaches!! I hope you find relief soon. I was interested to see what everyone had to say because I start Lupron in 8 days. Now I know what im up against!!! Thanks for the tips!!!

    Really?? I never would have thought. Just curious, what made you want to eat a whole box of altoids? :)

    Thank you everyone for your responses. Started Lupron yesterday and have had a killer headache since shortly after the shot.  I am heading out to buy the peppermints now, :) I will say a bit of the Icyhot roll on to the back of my neck helped this morning.  Didn't make it go away but helped.  I am trying to just make it through each day with this, I hope I don't have this for the next 2 weeks. ugh.

    I'm on Lupron right now, too. I've been making sure to drink a ton of water, but I definitely have a constant dull headache working. Feel better soon.

    DX: MFI-Very Low Count, I have Hashimotos.
    IVF prep September 2013 cancelled due to Ovarian Cyst
    IVF #1 October 2013 Antagonistic Protocol with ICSI  ER 10/31/13 (18R 16M 11F- 6 blasts to freeze)
    ET delayed due to OHSS 
    FET scheduled for July 8. Delayed due to a crazy high TSH (it had been under control for YEARS!)
    FET #1 8/5/14 sET BFN
