My 3 year old attends a Christian pre-school. Wednesdays are arts & crafts days. Please tell me, what does one do with a baby Jesus made out of a recycled toilet paper roll and a clothes pin?
I wanna know how many people are opting for the mirror during delivery. I did and don't regret it.
I just kept telling them to angle it down so I didn't see my face in it.
They didn't offer it to me last time and I didn't think to ask, but if they offer it this time I want it!

I bought a hand mirror and put it in my labor bag just in case their giant one isn't available
I just dropped half my lunch on the floor of my office and made a mess. The worst part was trying to get to the floor and scrub spinach artichoke dip out of the carpet.
I hate when people come to visit who don't have kids. They totally overstay their welcome...just leave, don't stay for 2 hours. I'm pooped and not in the mood for socializing. On the other hand, it's great when people who DO have kids come visit. They pop in for 20 minutes, see how I'm doing then are on their way.
All day today, our 5yo has been telling me that he thinks the baby is coming tomorrow. "Just one more day!" has been his little gleeful mantra and I just smile and tell him "We'll see, buddy" and carry on.
But while I was in the middle of reading him The Velveteen Rabbit (my first time reading it, y'all... my GOD, the tears) a few minutes ago, he stopped me and said, "Sammy, you know what? You'll be in the hospital tomorrow to have Alice!"
Wishful thinking from a little boy desperate to hold his baby sister? Or total child intuition?
Either way, I'm currently having him pick out some lottery numbers.

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
I hate these diapers. We have newborn huggies - plan is to cloth diaper as soon as his circ is healed and we can stop using the vasoline. And I think its related to the vasoline making the diapers less absorbant, but his entire outfit is soaked every time he pees. Im not exaggerating, the only time we didnt have to fully change him was when he peed during a diaper change and was naked anyway. Im out of clothes, hes out of clothes, Im tired of it. Im hoping Im right about the vasoline because if this isnt over soon I may catheterize him for life.

Are you pointing his penis down before closing up the diaper?
My 22 year old replacement at my job I resigned from just messaged me on FB and asked me to grab beers with her after the baby is born.
I feel like saying yes simply for beer and b) to have an excuse to get away for a couple hours after LittleDude is born.
It's weird to face the fact that there IS a social life to be planned after he comes :-D I haven't made a single plan other than a double date night in November with another couple to see Dumb and Dumber To.
Not that you wouldn't be a super cool chick to have a beer with....but maybe she's hoping to make use of your low post pregnancy tolerance and get the real scoop on the job. I bet she's already figured out that the supervisor is a jackass.
That's what I think too. She's been there a couple weeks and all the pieces are coming together. She needs the low down dirty truth about the position to give her confidence and reassurance in her observations and experience.
She needs to know that it's not her.

This!!! Even pointing his penis down it leaks every time. I've been telling visitors to bring extra shirts because they'll probably get peed on!
yup. Penis pointed down. It normally leaks out the leg holes. Gahhhhhh. And he pees so much for someone that weighs 6 lbs, seriously. I didnt know it was possible. Im glad Im not alone!

Maybe you need to move up to size 1? (6 lbs seems like nb though) but every time DS peed through his diapers, it was a signal that it was time to move up a size...

The CD board introduced me to Waxelene. It's a CD friendly alternative to Vaseline that is sold at CVS & online. I'm hoping to only use disposables until those meconium poops are done then switch even before the circ is healed.

That would have been awesome! We're a week post circ already though so Ill probably just finish these diapers I already bought. Weve been putting a cover or even a pocket on over the huggies and its saved a few outfit changes at least.
I think even if he were over wetting and needing to move up a size it would never fit. Hes a little tiny bit premie and has 0 fat on his thighs. Theyre seriously 2 inches wide. So small. Hes lucky hes so damn cute! :-D
MIL got in to town yesterday. She's nowhere near as crazy as what some you ladies have to deal with, but she lives alone so when she's visiting it's like she's got to talk nonstop to make up for not having anyone at home to have conversations with. She will just talk about random stuff and DH and I can start talking about something else and she'll keep on with whatever she's saying while we're having a totally different conversation. Also, I'm sorry, but as much as I believe DH is pretty awesome, I do not believe he took down 2 bottles of formula in a row (7 oz she estimates) in his first 24 hours and gained 9oz before he left the hospital. Btw, we're not formula feeding anyway, so why is it relevant even if he managed to actually do it?

Have you tried any other brands? Huggies never worked well with DS1 so we primarily used Pampers until he was a bit older. May not be worth it if you'll be going to cloth in another week or two anyway but if it's enough of a pain you could try a small pack of a different brand. Or like PP said, he could need a size 1 even though he's small. The weight limits on diapers were rarely accurate for us when determining when to move up a size.
Or maybe he's just determined to mark all his new territory.

we had a few pampers from the hospital and they were okay, so DH bought a package of them because were almost out of Huggies. So fingers crossed!
MIL asked me last night if they thought it was twins since he's so big. Ugh. She is sweet but she is so dumb. I've had at least 10 ultrasounds. I'm pretty sure they would've seen a twin in there (especially since we did transfer 2 embryos).
God damn it feels good to wear non-maternity jeans again. If it weren't so damn got I would sleep in these bloody things.
I have to disagree (not that I've put on either maternity or non-maternity jeans lately)...but I am sad to have to go back to real pants...love my stretchy panels!
