I don't really like music. I mean, I love dancing and if it's on and I'm in a situation where I can dance, I'm all over that shit. But listening to music to just to listen to music? Meh. (Which is kind of weird because I used to date guys in bands.)

I always listen to audio books in the car.

I farted in the shower this morning and it STANK.

It was probably the dozen little powdered donuts I had after work last night......I guess thats kinda a double confession.

@absolutelymaybe How do you not listen to music ? lol....mind is blown! I would never be able to do projects around the house, or bake cookies without music blaring.....oh and forget about driving! lol.....music is the bestest!! I miss having some beers and browsing Youtube to watch music videos! The louder the better too!

Exactly lol. Also, I'm the opposite. I am IN LOVE with music but I detest dancing. To me it's pointless...probably how AbsoMaybe feels about music lol.

@mander82 - I listen to audio books :-) Stories keep my attention span more than music. DH is more of a music guy during projects, though, so if we're working together or cleaning it's usually music.

Music related FFFC: I hate concerts. There a reason people mess with music in the studio--it sounds better. Also, it's loud, people touch you and I never know what to do--sit? stand? dance? Awkward.

This is really kind of lame, but it's a peeve of mine.

I do a lot of medical scheduling and when I ask people for their birthday and they say (example) "The 1st, The 1st of 19 and 48"...I want to throat punch them. Can you just say "January 1st of 1948" please!?!

Maybe this is an age thing or (although it wouldn't make sense since these are local people) maybe it's a cultural difference/area thing. Either way...I detest it.

I LOVE audio books for long drives. But driving in the city I feel like I'm not in my car long enough to listen to them. I used to have a 45 minute drive to work and I used to burn through audio books like crazy. They are awesome.

Somehow my alarm didn't go off and I slept until 10.40 and I'm trying to figure out an excuse for work. I BELIEVE FI turned it off before I heard it but I can't prove it.

Me too. Even before I was pregnant I routinely headed for bed around 9pm for wind down and read time. And love it.

My confession today is music related too! Today DH and I are still working on dry-walling our basement and I am playing the "One Hit Wonder" playlist on Songza and dancing and working away. Currently on is "Breakfast at Tiffany's" DH says I have until lunch time before we pick a new playlist.

I lied to my DH last night about how much I spent at Target yesterday I got myself 2 shirts and 2 cardigans. I do all the banking and our savings isn't hurting.

I only allow myself to go to Target once a month for this reason lol yesterday I was only supposed to be there to "look" at baby stuff we might want on the registry. whoops

I always listen to audio books in the car.

I hate listening to music in the car. I am in sales so I am in the car ALOT and I opt for talk radio (usually sports or NPR) and for long drives definitely audio books.

But a second confession, I don't like fiction books. Last summer I listened to 5 audio books all non-fiction. Once in awhile I find a REALLY great fiction book but they are usually historical fiction. I'm so boring!

These aren't very spicy ladies....

My FFFC: I hate romance type novels by people like Nora Roberts etc. This is all my MIL reads and I feel like she's missing out on quality literature because she's so stuck on this formula type novel.

That being said, I can appreciate a guilty pleasure book as much as the next person, but I think it's good to expand your horizons and read something a little different every once in a while.

I think I have a flammable one, sort of stemming from the judgement thread. Whenever I read about a parent forgetting their kid in their car, I feel so sick to my stomach. First, of course, because of the death of the child. But, second because I always think "That could have been me." Like most mothers, I have a million thoughts going through my head at any given moment. I am always at least a little bit tired and I feel like I just try to stay afloat half the time. DH and I each do drop off depending on the day and I just find it could be so easy for DD to be quiet in the backseat and for me to forget it's my day and drive straight to work. I always try to replay the morning in my head and remember, was it my day? Did I remember to bring her? If it's DH's day, we check in on "how drop off went". I'm not obsessive, but I feel relief each night that DD is in her crib and I've managed to keep her alive and well another day. I guess another part of this confession is that my heart goes out to these parents (only when it's done by accident of course). They need to live with their mistake. I make mistakes as a mother most, if not every day and so far I've been lucky that my mistakes haven't been life changing.

Since we're talking about books, my confession is that I'm sucker for a good cheesy, totally cliche and predictable romance novel. The clean ones, I like smut occasionally, but I'm just a rainbow and flowers and happy ending kind of gal.

I do read other genres: political, historical, etc; but I LOVE a good romance.

I don't think this is flammable. I think it's what everyone thinks, but can't admit outloud.

It devastates me to read about these things, and then I judge because I'm like "HOW could a PARENT forget their CHILD in a burning hot car?!" ... and then I think ... what if it were me on a flat-out exhausted, mindless day?

I tagged the other gals, because they don't really participate in the board anymore, so we don't see updates or interact with them very frequently. It drives me crazy when someone gives lovetits to every single HDBD and doesn't do it to 1 or 2. Ouch. I also don't like when someone post a HDBD and doesn't love tit any of tgem. Show support for your fellow growing mamas. I get it's annoying when people only show up to aw in that thread.. and in that case I wouldn't blame you.

Ha, I only give love tits to the people that also post outside the HDBD thread. It's annoying that certain people only come out and post in that thread. If I don't know you, you probably won't get my love tit, but if I know you/you post outside that thread, you're definitely getting one.
