Seeing some of my friends prego on Facebook and lurking on some of the boards here, really makes me miss my bump. I love my LO and couldn't imagine not having her, but per DH's and I convo from the other night it looks like its going to be awhile if ever we have another LO .

@TSmith0913 what a shitty way to start your morning. I hope it gets better from here. And I know how you feel, I just left my LO for the first time on Tuesday to go out to a nice restaurant with DH. It was hard but also really nice to be baby free for a couple hours.
@wildhoney4508 Thanks! He seems to be doing fine now. Still a bit cautious outside, but I think he'll get over it pretty quick! He's 3, but he's a tough kid.
The toddler doesn't nap every day, but when he does, I try to get him laying down between 2 and 3. He will sleep for 2 hours usually at home. (MIL swears he only sleeps an hour ever...sigh, that's another story)
LO naps sporadically throughout the day, or seemingly not at all. Somedays are 5 minute catnaps while eating, other days he could sleep 1.5 to 3 hours at a time - one, two or three times in a day.
It's hard to figure out what I'm going to do while one sleeps but not the other. Somedays I get absolutely nothing done but feed the kids.
@babycaps, @Jt7dreamz, @bennieangel, and anyone I missed, I'm sorry work is still giving you tough days. It can be so hard trying to find a balance between work and home life. I hope it gets better!
I had a dentists appointment appointment today and my parents were watching the kids. As I got on the elevator to leave a (rather large herself) woman said in surprise "oh, is there a maternity practice on this floor?" Seriously WTF!! It took me a minute to realize she thought I was pregnant and was really pissed off by it! I told her "nope, my dentist is here and my twins are 5 months old". She went bright red and mumbled an apology, but what would possess someone to make that kind of comment to someone they don't know. I know I have some weight to lose, and I have a post-twins pooch but I do not look pregnant!! Aaargh
I suck at knitting I think that I much prefer crocheting. Hmm when did I turn into my great grandma :-/
I definitely prefer to crochet than knit. I find crocheting so much more fun, easy, fast and creative. I'm much better at keeping my tension in check while crocheting. My knitting tension sucks!!!
Morning sex was SO good this morning (and is a rare thing) but its made me so tired and sluggish today. I'm used to having sex and going straight to sleep for the night.
Quietly wake the sitter.
I'm sure she is probably more alert to LO's movements than you might think.
I've slept most of the night with a baby in my arms (in a rocker) on more than a few occasions. Not this LO yet, but. The other two for sure.
Don't sweat it.
What would you do if you found your 17 year old sitter asleep in the rocker with LO in her arms?
This happened while you were working from home? I would assume it was an accident & that she was rocking LO and drifted off. Take the opportunity to explain that it's not safe & you'd prefer if it didn't happen, but don't get too upset about it. IMO.
Edit to include I've drifted off rocking LO before...a few times.
Yeah I came down when I finished work and found them like that. I dunno. I've drifted very few times but I'm a sleep deprived mom. I explained I didn't want it to happen again but didn't get a sincerely apologetic reaction. Ugh.
I have an addiction... To CD's :x We have 2 dozen small prefolds 2 dozen medium prefolds and 30 pockets and 8 covers. I must have all of the diapers! 8-}
@ProudMommy030614 I totally feel you on the addiction to CDs, however I am better at controlling myself apparently I should start showing. DH how many dipes other mamas have! Lol do you follow Twinkie tush on FB?! Ugh I need to stop bc I don't need one $45 diaper....
ETA my addiction has lead to 5 other friends starting and becoming addicted to cloth diapering. I'm so proud!
I don't fb but hat sounds like a good thing because I would buy the $45 diaper in a minute! I am currently looking into flats... Mh is just as into it he is adorable
Anyone want an extra h! Mine's free and comes with a brand new galaxy 5 whatever phone thing. Don't count on him interacting with your kid at all seeing as the phone is glued to his hands..... If you get mad he will set it down for 3 minutes, take the child from you, set the child on the floor and then pick his phone back up.
Urg!
Put said phone in BM pumping bag. Seal zipper. Place in tupperware. Add water. Freeze.
Would I actually do this. Nope. But I want to with DH's PSP. I hate that thing.
Today can end already. One of our cars is overheating and in the shop, I spent an hour on the phone sorting out doctor and hospital bills that were billed incorrectly, MH stepped on a wasp and his whole foot is swollen and painful, and J has been fussy today and would only nap in my arms. Everyone else is finally in bed now and I'm enjoying 30 minutes to myself.
Spent alllll day driving around rural Idaho to scout moose hunting locations. We did not see one single moose. (
But it's our first family vacation all together and we're using our new camper!! Cale snapped some great pictures of our dog in the river, and I got some cute ones of him holding Holland.
We have had the worst corkscrew ever for our wine, and DH always had to do it because I could never get the stupid cork out. We finally bought a good one, and I opened the wine last night. I smiled at DH and told him I officially no longer needed him since I could open my own wine now. I told him that was the only reason I kept him around (that and sex)

I've never had funfetti anything.
I probably wouldn't like it anyways.
