I feel like I'm one of the only people on this board who feels this way, but I don't want my baby to come until her due date (the 16th) at least. I have a lot of stuff to get done at work and home, and I'd rather have those chores done before she gets here. I will feel more relaxed and able to enjoy her if I have all of this done.
If she comes before the 16th, I am guessing my reaction will be "no, not yet!"
Everyone else seems to be so eager to meet their babies NOW, that I feel guilty as though I'm not as excited for her or that I'm a bad Mom. I just want her to stay in a little longer and I feel guilty about it.
You're not alone! I'm in the same boat; my due date was yesterday but DH and I hoping it doesn't happen til Saturday at the earliest. Mostly it's due to our available vacation hours at work, and he's got a lot going on at work through tomorrow.

I'm okay if baby comes a few days early, but will be okay if he comes on time or a little after. (I may eat crow later if he comes late and I'm all like OMG WHY WON'T BABY GET OUT?!) I don't want him to come before this weekend since we have furniture being delivered and I'd like to waddle around getting everything arranged just so.
Next week is my first actual week of maternity leave, and it would be nice to do a little nesting so that I feel like our house is less of a slovenly place. I've done little bits here and there but sometimes it's really hard after a long day at work and I get home tired and just want to collapse. Will be nice to have some time to just focus on that!
Good luck with the books. I tried them, I honestly did. I just can't get past the incest. As much as I love scifi/fantasy and dragons and stuff like that...I can't stomach those books or the TV show!
My UO: I really hate to wear dresses. But I've had to wear them a lot lately, because otherwise at work I'm way too hot. This wearing a dress business is downright alien to me...
I don't like Dr. Who. I tried to watch it... and I just couldn't get past a couple episodes.
@livkight I can't get into it either. I have sooooo many people telling me how awesome it is so I tried to watch it. I couldn't make it past episode one. Most ridiculous fucking show ever.
We can never, ever be friends. Dr Who, right from the very beginning.
Agreed. But I have been using real mason jars for cups since I was a kid. Why only use them for canning? But the plastic tumblers / ones with handles I see annoy me. If its not a glass ball jar then its not a mason jar. Majority of these bimbos carrying them around, don't even know how to can or what the jars are used for.
^ I'm not being sarcastic, actually asking. In the South we use them as drinking glasses all the time. I had no idea people somewhere thought it was cool.
Re: 07/10 UO Thursday
Fingers crossed for a healthy baby after Saturday
But... I love that I can screw on a mason jar into my blender when making a smoothie. One less thing to wash = winning at life
It's a fad?

Seen one almost every day this week we've gone.
