Yawn. DH thought we should try to push LO's bedtime later cause he's been waking earlier. I was hesitant cause other times it only resulted in an early wake up. Yeah like I expected. . Up and ready to party at 445. ~O) ~O)
A was up three times last night and bf for a solid 30 each time. I am exhausted. I need food and tea stat. He ate for a longer time period between midnight and 5am than he generally does all day. WTF? So now I feel and look like a Mombie and had planned to leave A with mh forafew hours so I could drop off resumes. Great timing.
LO is hanging out in the bathroom with me while I get ready. He was playing with the deodorant and managed to get the cap off and was chewing on it. It had a bit of deodorant on it and I don't know if he ate any. Anyone know if deodorant is harmful? Should I call poison control?
@econmama I hope Ellie feels better and you guys have an easy drive to Hilton Head!
@Muirmaid Congratulations on making it this long! We are in the middle of weaning this week, and although I'm sad about no longer nursing, I am thrilled about this being my last week pumping.

@muirmaid So sorry sweetie! Pumping is never fun and thrush and the pressure of an impending trip make it awful. I wish we lived closer so I could give you my extra milk.
@econmama Safe travels and healing thoughts. Maybe she'll be extra sleepy?
In case anyone else's baby ever eats deodorant according to Poison Control it's fine they may just get an upset tummy if they eat alot. I dont even know if he ate any at all.
Hugs all around this morning!!!!!! I am covered in hives. DH thinks I have contracted some weird hive causing virus since I was just in the hospital. I just want them to go away but they keep getting worse. Perhaps they are stress hives.
I got hives about a week after leaving the hospital. I was allergic to the pain meds they gave me. The dr told me it could be a week to 10days for a reaction to happen. Are you taking anything?
@Muirmaid that's totally crummy I'm sorry. I'm facing the same thing soon with a planned work trip and I'm stressed too about the overnight. Only the boob has ever worked on him. I know both our families will be okay it is just hard not to worry.
I forgot to tell you guys I had a Bump nightmare the other night. I dreamed that a woman and her husband showed up at my door and said they were there to hang out. Apparently I had agreed to meet up with one of you and totally forgotten about it. I wasn't feeling good and I went upstairs to put Addie down for a nap and then just...left because I didn't feel like hanging out! I got back really late at night and they were still there and bitched me out.
I then logged onto TB and the lady had started a thread about what a horrible person I was.
Ahhh, pregnancy dreams.
@muirmaid I am really impressed you have been pumping for so long! I hated pumping so much even though I only had to do it every few days. I've completely stopped (well, my milk is almost gone) and the day I packed that sucker (ha!) away for the next 7 months was a happy one!
F15 Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward to Most After Baby Arrives: BELLY SLEEPING!
econmama, I hope that she feels better soon! E woke up a few days before her birthday with a cought and runny nose - no fever. When she had her 1 year well visit, the pedi said that she had the summer cold that was going around and not to worry unless she developed a fever. She didn't, thankfully, and the cold lasted about 7 days. Hopefully that's the case for Ellie!
I had my second interview for the job that I posted about on Monday. Yeah....I am withdrawing my name from the candidate list. There is no job description. The mission statement was written by a guy who does franchising for the parent company. They are not looking to hire any additional staff (its a start-up non-profit) so it would just be me trying to get this thing up and running. I was asked several times about how I felt about working late hours and on weekends and how I deal with people with difficult personalities. With having E at home and DH who is never home to help, taking this position would not be a good idea, even if it does reduce my commute by 75%.
Hugs and coffee. Rough night at our house too. I think Allison is cutting another tooth. She will only sleep on me.
Mil is watching Allison today since my mom is with my grandmother. I just hate the idea of her watching Allison. I will be done with my meetings around lunch and be able to head home to her. Then we are goingn to take a shift at the hospital.
@Muirmaid I love bf, but pumping for 10 months was so physically and mentally draining for me. I never responded well. I would pump at all hours of the night to make enough bottles. My whole day revolved around making enough oz. It is so stressful. Big hugs.

It could be hormonal.
*loss mentioned*
After I had my miscarriage, I consistently broke out in hives for about 6 weeks. My OB thought it was hormones but referred me to an allergy doc just in case. He found absolutely nothing, so he chalked it up to hormones too. I just took Benadryl and finally one day they went away.
I've been a bad bumpie for the past few weeks but hopefully you guys will take me back. Work has been unusually busy for summer time and life outside of work has just been one thing after the other. I think things are FINALLY starting to slow down so I'll try to jump back in over here.
@econmama you have a new name! I saw your avatar and didn't even notice the name was different until @martyn17 tagged you and I was like "Who the heck is she talking about?" Hope Ellie feels better and your travels go well!
I'm pretty sure I'm about to get my period back. I can't complain since it held off for over a year but man, I am not looking forward to dealing with this again. No actual bleeding yet but I've been crampy for 2 days now and it feels like my ute is a rock. Also I'm super exhausted. DH was kind of freaking out last night that I was pg because these are the same symptoms I had when I got my surprise BFP so he actually went to Walgreens last night and bought test. I didn't really think it was a possibility but I was cracking up at his paranoia and imagining him at Walgreens by himself buying a test. I did POAS and it was negative (of course) so he is resting easy now.

we had one wake up last night! I think the fourth tooth is going to pop through any day now (I hope). I also had a dream about DS' party on Sunday--I was running so late, and I was still showering as the party was starting, we were still running errands to get food, etc. as guests were arriving--I think my subconscious is telling me to CTFD and do more low key parties next year or, gasp, a joint birthday for my two July firecrackers.
I'm so burned out from pumping. I'll be gone for four full and two partial days next week, and I need a sizeable stash stored up for my mom to use (DH is also going to be OOT for something different). I've been pumping five times a day and getting seven or eight ounces total--at best. Subtract the six ounces he takes at daycare and I'm making hardly any progress. My mom's going to have to drive up to the camp I'm working partway through the week to pick up more milk from me. I'm taking calcium and magnesium, more milk plus tincture, and drinking gallons of water. I just can't relax and let down, probably because:
I have thrush for the billionth time because LO's latch is still shitty, and I feel like my nipples have been sore since the day he was born. I HURT ALL THE TIME. Even when the pump is on the lowest possible suction, even when he's nursing, even when I'm using a hand pump. No amount of APNO, airing out time, or antifungals/probiotics helps.
On top of that, Sebastian's still up all the time and I have NO idea how it's going to go with my mom because DH can't even get him back down in the MOTN. I know they'll be okay, but I can't stop worrying about it.
For the love of all that is good, my second child (and second nursing experience) had better be different. I can't do this again. Not for a full year.
/pity party
((Hugs))
My nursing experience with Alex has been a lot easier than with Abby.
AW over here: I just dropped off the last of my BM that is too old for Luke to drink (strong frozen taste, he won't take it). I have now donated over 1600oz., and we have enough left at home to keep L on BM mixed with a little of that new formula until he's 15m.
I may not make healthy babies, but dammit, I can make some friggin' milk.

We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Hugs, @Muirmaid! >:D< I should've read the thread before I posted my milk brag, that was poorly timed. I'm sorry.

My kid still has a terribly runny nose and is pulling on his ear. He has two more doses of augmentin and if he still has any signs of an ear infection he has to go back. If he does have an ear infection, we will talk tubes. I hope the last two doses do their job!
@J134EVA so many, many hugs. I can only imagine how much harder all this would be alone - you are an amazing mama. Of course some things will slip through the cracks sometimes - but you are everything your LO needs and more, and you are doing an incredible job in a very tough situation.

@mermomo5 I know I gave them to you yesterday, but hugs again. I went through all of those hospital drives last fall for my grandmother. It is so hard. Thinking of you.
@econmama I'm glad to hear the good news and sorry for the bad

I'm feeling nostalgic today too.....one year ago today, my water broke....it would still be another day till we met lo, but I was so overdue I was happy I knew it would be soon. Now today is full of first birthday preparations and thoughts of getting pregnant for the final time....all the while lo tries to eat toothpaste out of the container!!
Trying to focus on work and not think about all of the party prepping that I want to do instead. :P
All the Slurpee Faction mamas... this is it... last day before the babies turn ONE! I am pretty sure we were headed out to the hospital at this time last year. It feels like decades ago, though... and also just minutes.
Back in the file room - getting ready to take on the W drawer.
I am way more excited than I should be to look through the many many Wangs, in hopes of a serendipitously funny FN-LN combo.

There was a lady at work whose next has Happy Wang. Her real name was spelled differently and pronounced a slight bit differently. She decided Happy was easier for everyone but probably not the best combination.
I am trying to plan the pub crawl schedule for my SIL's bachelorette party. I feel so freakin old! I haven't heard of like any of these places. All I want to do these days is drink wine in sweats and catch up on my shows!

@casey78 That tickle story tickled me. Adorbs!
@fabk This breastaraunt was busy overnight too. I think it soothes his cough.
~O) for all! And tea for @livvyx.
@Muirmaid hugs >:D<
@Casey78 that is so so so adorable. It's crazy how fast they pick up on things.
@econmama hope your trip goes well. Have fun!
