  I am so very sorry, Mer. My grandmother who oftentimes stepped in and raised me when my parents couldn't- confided in me last month that she was diagnosed with colon cancer and is just too tired to fight it.   Hugs, Mer! My grandmother passed away on Sunday after having a massive stroke last week. The funeral is tomorrow. I am sorry to hear your news. Losing a loved one, especially one who helped to raise you, is simply devastating. I will keep you, your grandmother, and your entire family in my prayers during this difficult time. >:D<

  Thanks, @mermomo5‌. I'm just glad that my grandmother was able to see Mer one last time before she passed away. She would have been 90 in August, so she lived a wonderful, full life. Now she is at peace and reunited with my grandpa, her siblings, and her twin daughters who died at birth.
  
  Is the hospice facility close by? Will you and the kids be able to visit?

  Huge hugs. I lost my grandma in 2006. She was truly a special person. It was a very hard thing to overcome. But with time, instead of feeling unfortunate, I realized how lucky I was to have known her. She still and always will have a strong impact on my life.
