@missgpsu I'm sorry you had a rough day. Hugs to you and Bridget. Keep us posted. What does B need EI for? If you don't mind me asking. You can PM if you feel more comfortable.
I'm adding my sorries for @missgpsu. I know how hard it is to watch the medical staff poking your baby. CJ needed an IV one time and the look he gave me was heartbreaking. I know you know (and it doesn't make it any easier) but B was in good hands and they are doing what's best.
When I got back from lunch I walked in the office to find my boss crying and stomping a bug. She said "I really needed to kill something today.." I asked her if she was ok and she started telling me she and her husband are divorcing... in 4 years. They are waiting until her son graduates high school. But they're miserable. And sleep in separate bedrooms. And don't speak.
Also my boss tears up over like EVERYTHING. She's super sensitive. I think she may have a hormonal imbalance, for realsies.
So yeah, I'd say my first month at this new job is making me question all my decisions in life.

I can only imagine how tough divorce is. Throw your hugs at her and it probably wouldn't hurt to also throw a bottle of B vitamins.
Seriously! I can't imagine putting it off for YEARS just because! Her son doesn't know yet, but he obviously knows they are sleeping in separate bedrooms.
When my paretnts got divorced, my dad was all, "I wish we would have waited until you guys were 18." I don't know if it would have made a difference. We were pretty miserable either way. I think it would have been suckier if they tried to hide it because kids aren't dumb.
I went on a mini vacation with my aunt and her 3 grandkids. Her youngest grandson is 4 and refuses to learn to swim, but his parents let him play on the steps of the 4' deep pool. I made him put his head under, learn to kick his legs and float on his back and go under the waterfall to help ease him into some sort or water safety. I may have threatened to let go of him.

One could easily make an argument that you should be a better parent/relative/caretaker. Threatening a 4 year old? Taking it upon yourself to determine who should learn what at what age? Just know that to that kid, you may always be that lady who threatened to let him drown. Worst case scenario, but possible. The "how" is just as important as the "what", no matter how good your intentions.
deedee1017 They are evaluating her gross motor skills mostly because she is still not overly steady sitting up without assistance, she can't get herself in the sitting up position, does not roll from back to belly, and makes no effort to crawl or even get in the position to crawl. Basically, if she falls over when I have her sitting up, she is like a turtle stuck on its back. I figured it was worth checking out so we can get this nipped in the bud sooner rather than later.
hugs. I'm sorry you have this on your mind to worry about now. FX that everything is okay.
Mil has *the worst* taste in clothes. Yes, that tee has lashes, there's a cheetah bikini, and apparently since dd is part Mexican she needs a piñata/ chiquita banana outfit. I conveniently forgot the glam-ma onsie, but mil is mailing it to us.
@missgpsu good luck with B. Like @Katie619 said, it's a good thing you're taking steps to help her out. Bridget is obviously a tough cookie, I'm sure she will be just fine

Ummmm DD has the jumper with the pompoms I was unsure at first too, it was a gift from my aunt but.....
I'm sure I should just beat my head against a brick wall rather than respond to you.
BUT, let's be clear that his mom is deathly afraid of water AND she lets him play on the steps of a 4 foot deep pool and she wouldn't be able to save him should something happen. I went in the pool with him 3 separate times and he became more comfortable and confident each time. I gave him options of what he would do (do you want to dunk your head under the water or do you want to learn to float on your back?) He WANTED me to take him with me and dd each time and he wanted me to leave him in the pool in dd's float. I had to explain to him the consequences of the float device getting a hole in it while he was in the middle of the pool without someone with him. BUT thanks again for you "oh mother who is better at mothering and judging" to make sure to let me know I've damaged him.
I can promise that my child will not play on the steps of a pool if I'm not going in with her and I'm afraid of water.
I have been MIA these last couple of weeks .I think I missed my period ... Haven't bothered to get a pregnancy kit. I'm waiting another week before I take a test.
In the meantime I'm heading to the shore this and next weekend w DH & DD

Why would you wait another week???
Denial? Honestly my DH said I missed it ... I'm not so sure I figure if I don't get it by next week then I will take a test. All of a sudden I don't remember when I got it.
@missgpsu hugs for you and B. Hope everything turns out alright.
My random, we have friends who have an old spoiled dog that stands and growls anytime she doesn't get what she wants. I think LO has been around her too much because now when he is upset with us he sits up and growls while staring at us. #MaybeBabiesArePartDog???
I took a detour to McD's on the way to work to let my car run a little longer since it didn't want to turn over this morning. I got breakfast and a yogurt parfait to eat after pumping. Why are you so tiny, delicious yogurt and fruit parfait??
I love the yogurt parfaits for mcds!
My dog just vomited all over my stairs. Lit-rally one of the only places in my house with carpet. Oh and wolfhound puke is no joke. My first thought, "I have to tell everyone on the bump!!!!"
When @petdocd speaks, I'm interested. Even if the topic is dog vomit.
If anyone is wondering it took my over an hour to shampoo my stairs.
Another random. I went shopping today with a friend and her younger sister (and her friend). I'm turning 28 next month, my friend is 24 and the two young ones just graduated high school. They were all pretty and cute while I was in jeans and a tee and looked like a hot mess from not getting any sleep (LO has ear infection). I went with them as they spend obscene amounts of money on all of the pretty things. Then I got really all kinds of "I'm fat, ugly, blah blah blah" depressed. I seriously started tearing up. I don't know what the Hell my problem is.
@ballygirl we have a family of five foxes that come to get chicken or rabbit to go at least once a week. Part of me is like NOOO! The other part is like, that mom and dad is trying to take care of triplets, maybe I should make it easier for them.
@jennball I did the same thing with Cheerios. It took about three days and BAM crawling all over the place. Now I'm like STOP MOVING!
@Snowboarderbritt that is amazingly cute. I would have to buy it if I saw it on a rack.
@txmom13 I agree with the way you handled it. Letting him play on the steps with zero knowledge of swimming is bad parenting. Hopefully if the unthinkable happens he remembers your lessons.
•My last period was April 4th, no I'm not pregnant. It looks like my cycles are going to go all spontaneous again. However, about an hour ago I started cramping like a mother fucker, my back hurts, I'm irritable, and I'm so bloated my panties are tight. Fabulous.
• Friday DD and I are having pictures done, just the two of us. I'm so excited! Tomorrow I have to narrow her outfits down to two. And decide how I want to wear my hair. I may have to poll it, if I can't decide.
Here's another random. I've recently decided to not wear panties. It's fabulous. If I'm going to be outside for a long period of time away from home or work a shift (I'm prn), I wear them.
I have tmj. I grind my teeth in my sleep and clench my teeth a lot when I'm stressed and it causes flare ups. When I was a teenager I had a really stressful year and the tmj got so bad that my jaw completely locked up. I couldn't open my mouth more than about a 1/4 inch. And it hurt like hell. We went to all these specialists in Boston and PT and everyone just told me it would go away on its own. It did get better after a WHOLE YEAR! I couldn't open my mouth to yawn or laugh, all my food had to be cut really small and I couldn't eat anything chewy. It was pretty fucked up.
I had a mouth gaurd for awhile but don't use it any longer. It's not so bad anymore, I've learned to deal with my stress better but I can always tell if I've been clenching in my sleep because I wake up with a headache and a sore, clicking jaw.
My random: I had 2 beers tonight and I am *pretty* tipsy.
What happened to me?
We went out drinking with friends for the first time since LO was born last week, and I totally thought I was 21 again! I was slamming cherry vodka sours all night. The next morning, getting up early with LO, I was quickly reminded that I am in my late 20's.
We are having a late night ice cream party at our house and DS1 had on Pandora and Spice Girls came on. He went to skip it and I was like "Don't you dare!" Then I put on a pretty stellar Spice Girls cover concert as he watched in amazement (or horror?)
Are we supposed to hate that giraffe/elephant/zebra shirt? Bc I'm not gonna lie, I kinda love that shirt. Like, I would wear it love it.

Ok so I've given up on having a siggy, no matter how many posts I've read about making one I just can't get it to work but anyway here is what I would put as mine if I could do it! And that bone may or may not have made it into her mouth.. Whoops!

DS got the same exact type of bone in his mouth before I noticed too! When I took it away, he cried like I had taken his best friend away.
@bkeane619 Did you ever buy O that swing set last year? I want to get one. Looking for a review.
I did! It's still half put together. DH had a shit ton of probs putting it together. Missing pieces, things not lining up. However, he is not great at this kind of thing as I saw when he put my elevated garden together and stubbornly watched a video on how to put it together then didn't do what the video said and he had a hard time with that too. I had to point out the steps he missed.
Re: Your randoms may vary
I can only imagine how hard that was to see B in pain and unsure of her surroundings. Hugs to all of y'all. Hope everything turns out okay.

And be clear that I'd never hurt a child.
Now off to make my child a formula bottle.

Soft diet, ibuprofen, bite block, no gum chewing
