Hello Ladies,

Update on me: I took provera a week and a half ago to jump start AF so I could move on with RE testing. Well, provera failed. AF never came. My body continues to fail to cooperate. So frustrating!

So my RE is having me go come in on Thursday for an u/s and blood work to see what is going on and to determine where to go next.

I am glad I have some family coming in on Thursday for a couple of days. I've been working on some projects around the house too. Staying busy.

My next beta draw is Monday and my WTF with me RE is Tuesday so hopefully we get some good news next week. Good news would be beta under 3 (not quite realistic for next week but a girl can dream!) and my RE willing to cycle again with my ute rather than a GC (ideally this plan includes some type of change rather than trying the same thing again and hoping for a different outcome which is the definition of insanity).

We are going to the Sandals Regency La Toc in St Lucia in the middle of September for a week. It is an all inclusive. I'm really looking forward to it but I don't want to wish away the summer either. I'm trying to enjoy the warm weather as much as I can.

QOTW: No issue moving to Tuesday for me.

Hi Sapphires! Hope all is well! As for my update, I had one 18.5 follicle yesterday and was told to take the trigger shot last night. This is weird for me, because when I used Clomid, I had a TON of follicles always, but I also had two losses, so my doctor thinks that maybe using Femara might help? Anyone have experience what Femara vs. Clomid?

@CallaLily30: I know you don't want to wish away the summer, but damn....how wonderful is that all inclusive resort gonna be?! I've never been to St. Lucia, but a friend of mine went there on her honeymoon and contends that it's the best places she's ever been, hands down. So excited for you!

@MyFirstRaspberry: That sucks--I'm sorry AF never showed up. Isn't it crazy when you're wishing for your period instead of wishing it away like we did as teenagers?! I hope your doctor gives you some good news!

Hi girls, can I join the party my EDD was September, 2014. I've really avoided joining another check-in since I've had six losses and it was a bit overwhelming at first. We are TTA due to my surgeon recommendations/adhesions. When I had my lap for my ectopic she discovered numerous adhesions and my uterus is scarred to my abdominal wall. We are in the process of moving out of state so we will abstain until we are settled and have a second opinion.

I'm swamped this week, so the wait has been going quickly so far. The weekend mght be a bit tougher, but relieved in general that I seem to have regulated to pre loss temps.

Thanks for the check-in @myfirstraspberry! I am at the end of the 2ww, and I tested yesterday but it was negative. I am surprisingly okay with this. I think just getting through the first month of TTC was really scary for me. There was a part of me that was hoping that it was bfp, and a part of me that was hoping it wasn't which is weird. I recognize that my body may need more time and that's okay. I'm all about trying to be as positive as I can be about everything. On to the next cycle! Hopefully AF starts soon (I expect it anytime between now and the next 2 days assuming my cycle is returning back to normal).

@myfirstraspberry I'm sorry to hear that the Provera didn't work! I hope that you can hopefully get some answers on Thursday!

@CallaLily30 That sounds so fun! I love St. Lucia!

@superwife425 I have no advice on the meds, but FX that they help!

@zapgurl44 Where are you moving? Good luck with the move!

Ugh! I am not a fan of this met! I've only just started it this week and already my tummy is not super happy. I am not sick or anything, but I am finding myself waking up at night. That is NOT a good time. Bleh!

Mom is ok. She had to be scoped yesterday b/c even though she received blood when she was admitted, it was low again. They scoped her and the doc found more ulcers than he could count on her stomach. He biopsied some and now we are waiting for results. I am praying it's not stomach cancer.

QOTW: No problem switching to Tuesday, Ras.

@MyFirstRaspberry I am so sorry the provera didnt work. I hope the u/s and bw reveal what is going on they are able to bring on AF. ((Hugs)) hun.

@CallaLily30 FX for good betas, love! I hope you get some good news from the RE!

@superwife425 I have zero experience with Clomid vs. Femara, but I have heard good things. FX that this is your cycle though, love.

@megrae12‌ -how much are you on? Did you start on a low dose and work your way up. I am on 1500mg but did 500mg for 2weeks then 1000mg for 2 weeks and then the 1500mg.

Zap, I am only on 1 pill per day but I think it's taking it at night that my tummy is not liking. I start out with one pill/day for a week then move up accordingly. Eventually, he wants to be on 2,000mg/day. Bleh.

I heard its hard on the stomach, I don't/don't have any issues. Are you taking it with food. I'm sorry it's giving you an upset tummy, I heard its only temporary till your body adjusts.

@superwife425 Good luck with your IUI (I'm guessing). My doc switched me to Femara this cycle too. He seemed to think that I'd have a better chance at a higher quality egg & better lining with it over Clomid. I guess only time will tell for both of us.

@zapgurl44 I'm really sorry to hear about the findings during the lap. Good luck with the move & the second opinion. Are they suspecting Asherman's as the cause of the scarring?

@LauraO11 I hope the rest of your 2WW flies by!

I'm honestly pretty confused with my body & what's going on. ::::warning possible CP mentioned:::: I don't know if the warning is necessary or not, but I figure better to warn than not. At 11 & 12dpo I got some really faint lines, but I honestly couldn't tell if I was imagining things. I thought they might have been evaps, but they showed up multiple days on multiple tests. I started my period Saturday & it seemed normal. But starting Sunday it wasn't. I was nauseous to the point that MH insisted I test again, clear neg at this point. Since then I've had the most intense, persistent cramps & the heaviest bleeding I've ever experienced. I started looking at the pics of the tests again last night & I definitely see a line. I really don't know what other conclusion to come to. I guess it doesn't mean much in the end, I just like clarity.

Regardless, I started Femara on Monday & I'm going in for monitoring next Monday. At that point, I'll get to talk to the RE & get some feedback from the natural IUI cycle.

QOTW: I'd love to see this moved to Tuesday. I get bump lazy on weekends.

Yes, my doctor only ordered 3 strips--or at least that's all that arrived. All negative. I'm going back in tomorrow so I hope we can order more. Although my medical care really is great here, infertility is not commonly addressed. Nearly every medical professional I've met since my MC has brought up faith/higher power/told me "not to worry". It's annoying. I'm ready to pursue this more aggressively.

CallaLily30 I know what you mean about not wanting to wish the summer away, but that sounds like an awesome trip. I'm excited for you!

Hi @zapgurl44 Welcome to the check-in. I am so very sorry for all your losses. I totally understand that hesitation with joining check-in's. Let me know if you ever need a break from this one. @eliida‌ I'm ready sorry. I could go through 3 opks a day trying to catch my surge. I wanted to say the same thing as myfirstraspberry, I'd be willing to order you some cheapies & send them. Being stuck somewhere that doesn't handle IF much & falls back on "God's plan" as an answer stinks.

Thanks for the check in! House hunting continues -- we're going to list our house this weekend, and we've put in a conditional offer on a house today! Keeping our fingers crossed, for this and for the 2WW. I'll be testing early Saturday....hopefully it's our lucky month!

WTF is "What the F". I guess its not really a technical term but we use it on the IVF board to go over what happened in a failed cycle with your RE.

I get really excited for fun things in my bump friends lives too!

@beckynsean11and @MyFirstRaspberry You guys are too sweet to offer. Thank you. We only have two months left here so by the time anything made it through customs we'd be back in the States. I talked to my doctor today and she is going to order more. (When she orders med supplies it bypasses customs and goes through the embassy.)
