Do I have dumb written on my forehead??

GEEEEEZZZ, yes I yelled that. I was just at the car dealership for 2 1/2 hours for an oil change. Every half hour the guy would come out and say well we found blah blah blah it's going to cost 47billion dollars and 99 cents would you like us to do it? And each time I would say no just the oil change and he would leave. Repeat repeat repeat. I wanted to scream!! Do people in those places see women and just assume we will pay out the ass for stuff we don't need??

    yes they do. and im so glad you said no. the worst are the places like jiffy lube -- i think they must selll 219308934 million air cleaners to every dumb schlub who comes in.

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure a lot of them see women and think we will trust them to tell us what we need.  I hate that!   And 2 1/2 hours, wow, that sucks!!

    Yes they do. Its horrible. I know someone that worked in that job and they told me they deliberately pick ladies to screw out of unnecessary repairs. It sucks.

    That's why I always just leave my car so they won't even bother to try and ask me if they can do additional work.

    yes.  I don't go to dealerships, for this reason, I go to quick lube.  Occasionally I'll get asked about the air filter, but that's it, instead of 2384279784 things.

    2.5 hours?!?!? geez Id be pissed too! I just got new tires on my car and had to go to two places because the first place wont mention any names ahem discount tire, tried to screw me over so bad I had to leave, with the one new tire they managed to get on which I returned the next day, they think were such idiots it kills me!!!!

    you should come to Louisiana for your oil change! j/k my dad owns several tire stores and he has like 30 min. oil change or it's free.

    this is why my   DH does the oil changes for me. Only time I go to a dealership is for routine maintaince check.

    Did you go to the dealership?  I have a Toyota and when I bought it they duped me into this deal of free oil changes for a year.  WELL, each time I went I was there a minimum of 3 hours and left $500 poorer.  After the third time I said F the free oil change I am going to jiffy lube.  Turns out, I find out from my friend's brother who got a job at Toyota, they work off commission.  And it is their job to try to trick you into getting unnecessary services.  How is this legal?  And better yet, how am I such a moron to fall for it three times?!
