I had my first monitoring appointment for my first injects cycle yesterday (CD 8)! I had 4 follicles in the 9-11mm range, with one other follicle that was a little smaller. They are keeping my Follistim dose at 75iu and I'm going back tomorrow for more monitoring. I hope to have 2-3 mature follicles for my IUI! I'm a little nervous because if I keep all 4, I think my RE will cancel my cycle. Overall, I'm very happy with my response though. :-) :-)

QOTW: I think I would pick either Napa Valley or New Orleans.

H and I have a 4 day slot this summer where we can go on a mini road-trip, but I still don't know if I'll need to come back in the middle for monitoring, so we can't plan anything far away, so unfortunately neither of those destinations will happen. If anyone has any good Midwest destinations though, I would love to hear them! (We live near Chicago.)

I am 10 dpiui. I am crazy and I tested this morning and got a bfn. This has been the longest 10 days ever!! I don't have a beta day, but I will test Saturday if AF doesn't come before that.

I would go to a beach somewhere. I typically go to the Florida Keys, but it might be nice to switch it up and visit someplace new.

I'd like to be added to the check ins please. I had IUI #1 on 7/6, beta/test day is July 21st.

GTKY, if I could go anywhere I'd pick either back to Key West( I was there in February briefly for a relay race) or Dallas for shopping and eating purposes!

@lebradford: Depends on what kind of vacation you are looking for. I grew up in Wisconsin and live in Illinois. I always like Madison, WI, especially the Saturday morning Farmers' Market at the Square (it surrounds capitol square).

1. expecting AF today or tomorrow, then get baselines done for IUI#2.1 and start Letrozole

3. ???

QOTW: San Diego. I have a BIL and SIL I've never met there and DH says it's a nice area.

WAY too many places I want to go right now but top of the list are Grand Canyon and Yosemite...and Hawaii.

@lebradford - GL!! I had three follies at my Day 10 us and the RE was really nervous. Luckily one pulled ahead so they didn't cancel on me.

@rainbowbridge14 - We're cycle buddies! My iui was on 7/3 and I can take my hpt on 7/17! FX for you (and me).

@BlueJoan - DH and I LOVE amusement parks. Went to Disney World for our 6th anniversary a couple years ago and had a ball. Can't wait to go to HP World someday. Hopefully with LOs! FX for IUI 1!

Hi I'd like to be added. I'm in my TWW. Had my first IUI on 7/3. I took menopur 75 and gonal f for the week prior. Interesting story...I started with 150 menopur and 75 gonal but after my first blood test the nurse called and said take 175 gonal and 75 menopur on fri sat and sun and come in mon for blood work. only to go in Monday and find out the dosage was 75 gonal and 75 menopur! I had 2 follies at 18.5 and 18 and several (maybe 5 ranging from 9-15.) I triggered on tues 7/1 and had my iui on 7/3. The dr gave me ganirelix on sun, mon and tues as well. I'm now on endometrin supp. twice per day. No known issues so hoping for a BFP. Good luck ladies.

QOTW: I'd like to go on a road trip across the US. I'm from NY and haven't seen enough of this beautiful country!

Hello everyone. I just got my BETA test results and it is a BFN! So two IUI's down and on to the next cycle. I had such high hopes since my progesterone shot up to 43 at 7DPO from 13 the cycle before

So I think I'm going to go ahead with one more clomid cycle, but skip the IUI and try TI since my DH has excellent sperm. Fingers crossed for the third round.

If I could go anywhere in the US it would be Yellowstone. I would love to experience all the wildlife this park has to offer!

11dpiui and BFN today on a FRER. I know it's still early, but it's hard not to be disappointed. Beta is tomorrow, and I'm dreading the phone call telling me it didn't work.

DH and I are contemplating taking a month off to re-evaluate our health both mentally and physically. I'm not sure I'm ready to move to IVF, but I'm tired of feeling like I'm spinning my wheels.

QOTW: I would love to go to the East Coast!

In the 2WW on IUI #7. I had good numbers (follies at 2.2 and 1.4, lining at 0.8), but in my mind, I'm already waiting to start IVF.

QOTW... why do I have to stay in my current country? Ok, I'll play along anyway. My spouse wants to go to Montreal. I might choose somewhere in BC, maybe Vancouver, Kelowna or Whistler. If I could really go anywhere, I'd love to go back to Hawaii. Some day, when IF isn't eating up all my money!

Just had my baseline ultrasound/bloodwork done this morning. I had four potential follies already, 2 were already at 12MM, one was 11MM, and one was at 9MM. I'm supposed to take my first dose of Clomid tonight. I'm nervous/excited! Not sure how it will effect me, but feeling really hopeful. I haven't felt this optimistic since we first started trying, which is refreshing.

DH and I got the rundown on the IUI, and he has to supply the night before and the morning of, which I think made him feel a little nervous. It's pretty much been all on me up to this point (with exception of the SA), and so I hope he doesn't let the pressure get to him. Anyone else experience this?

QOTW: I'm going to go with Hawaii. We went earlier this year, but we had terrible weather and I'm still butt hurt over it. I deserve my magical Hawaiian vacation, dammit! :P

As for vacations in the midwest, how about Indiana? One of my BFFs got engaged at the West Baden Springs Hotel. It looks beautiful. There are similar resorts in Michigan. You could also look into renting a cabin on the Great Lakes!

IUI today. DH only had 400,000 sperm after wash. WTF. Basically, the RE said when I get AF in 2 weeks, to call the office to start next cycle. Pre-wash, there was only 6 million. His initial SA was 23 million/ml. We BD'd after so now I just have to wait.

QOTW: Hawaii, hands down. I wish I lived there!

@ashtownyeah‌ : just curious, why the specimen twice before IUI? DH just did the one today and said it didn't feel like a good one. He was right, numbers sucked. So we BD after and he said it felt like much more.

They said the one from the night before is for "reserve" in case his sample the morning of isn't good quality. We don't have MFI, but I do worry about the pressure on H! This is our first IUI, so it's all new to us, and so I just sort of figured it was the norm!

Well iui#3 was a bfn for me. I was out of town during AF and was unable to get meds before I left- so I'll be taking a break this month to enjoy myself (aka drink!) still undecided to have iui #4 or explore other options

@ashtownyeah - I was also worried about DH's comfort level and anxiety because prior to our first RE visit he wasn't super involved in the process. He even did his sample for the first SA at home and had me drive it to the clinic because he was weirded out about it. I made him come with me to the RE and he sat in on all of my ultrasounds and once he saw all the stuff I was having to go through he seemed to realize that his part was way less awkward and uncomfortable than all the crap I've had to endure (pills, shots, multiple blood tests, HSG, etc.) It really gave him some perspective and got him more excited about and involved in the IUI process.

GOTW - We're going on a beach vacation the first week of August! But if I could go anywhere, I'd probably pick a cabin in the middle of the woods somewhere in Colorado or Lake Tahoe. Or hike part of the Appalachian trail and fly back home. Basically, a trip to be away from people as much as possible.

I had a pretty disappointing mid cycle ultrasound on Monday, with thinned lining and no dominant follicles. So, I had very little hope for today when they had me come back for another U/S and labs. My husband had arranged to be available this morning in case we were going to have IUI if things looked good on Monday, so he was able to come with me for my U/S. I ended up having a dominant follicle on my left side again at 17mm. I got my trigger shot, and they are going to call me later with a time for our IUI. We BD before hubby left for work just to cover our bases.

Although, I don't know if my lining got any better, I was just so happy I had a follie that I forgot to ask, but they will tell me later when the nurse calls me.

QOTW: Hawaii, or Key West, hands down.

8dpiui today, no scheduled beta. Haven't had high hopes for this one since the day I triggered - don't know why, but just not feeling like this is the one. Would be so completely shocked if I am wrong.

All you vacations spots sound wonderful! I'd have to say driving the Pacific Coast Highway! Starting in San Diego and driving up the coast to the Redwoods, stopping along the way for a couple days at a time in LA, Monterey Bay, San Fran, and a long stop in Napa (obvi!).

Hi everyone! I'm a little behind on the update; took a much needed vacation.

AFM: I am still in the TWW. I am currently 7dpiui. This cycle seems so much different from the first. I have not had one single symptom, ache or pain. Hopefully this is good thing. For some reason, this go round seems a lot easier and less stressful.

@Kcheese and @rainbowbridge14 How are my cycle buddies doing??

Well....this morning tested and got my BFN on IUI #3. Hoping to snap out of my little depression soon.

DH and I have decided to take a little breather from it all and reevaluate things a bit. He started a new job and has no time off etc. so we will be trying on our own. I will definitely still be on the boards and will be rooting you all on!!

QOTW: There are a few places we've been wanting to go...Seattle, Chicago, New York and I would LOVE to go back to Kaui. It was so beautiful there!

Well eff it. My lining was even thinner today than it was Monday. My doctor said we can still try, but that I'd be at an increased risk of miscarriage. I'm still going forward with this cycle on the small chance it would all work out, but what an awful way to go into an IUI having a very small drop of hope it will work.

We were traveling last week so I haven't been posting much but I'm back now

Due to our vacation last weekend, the timing didn't work out well. We did timed intercourse instead of iui this month. I'm still on progestrone and did my monitoring and trigger. I'm currently on the tww, and I'm testing on July 20 which is a couple days before our 3rd anniversary. Here's to hoping for a great anniversary present!

Question: We would go to Hawaii! It looks beautiful and we love the beach

IUI #5 was 7/6. DH's numbers were a bit better after the wash. 16 million (13 last month) and 47% motility which they said was good. So now I'm in the 2 week waiting period. Scheduled a mtg with another office in a couple weeks to see what else we can do or what we can do differently. After 5 rounds, we need a break.

I would love to see New York.

Oh hands down, it would be Kauai! I just went there in May and I was just so in love with that place! If I was allowed to go outside the country, the answer might be different ...but yeah, I'm gonna go with Kauai.
