New week, new thread?

Get this - I fed baby, to him ready for bed. He was sleepy but awake. Diaperwas dirty though, so DH changed and swaddled him. Normally, I'd hold/rock him for 20 minutes, get him to pass out then put him down and pray to the baby gods for 3 hours of sleep.

Instead, DH puts the AWAKE baby right into his bassinet to "see what hapoens". What happened was nothing. He dozed off and is out cold. WTF? When did DH become the baby whisperer?

My DD is asleep in her crib alone for the first night and I'm so sad

I already miss her sleeping next to my bed. Her nursery is literally across the hall from us and both of our doors are open and I have a video monitor and I'm still so worried/sad/feel like why did I rush it? She is 4 weeks old. I loved her sleeping next to my bed in her pack n play but I felt like she hated it and the crib mattress is a little more soft and comfy. I bet tomorrow I make DO disassemble the crib so it can be moved to our room. (it's too wide for the doorway)

Good job Mr Luka's dad! Can I borrow him?

We're trying something new tonight. Usually DH and I take shifts, one person sleeps in the bedroom while the other stays up to tend to the babies in the living room. Tonight the girls and I have taken over the bedroom. I am hoping it'll be easier to care for them and that we'll get better sleep since I can cosleep with them in our big bed. If nothing else, I'll be more comfortable!

Don't feel too bad for hubby, he's sleeping on his ugly ass futon that he loves and refuses to let me toss.

Isabel has been fed for over an hour, burped multiple times, changed into a fresh diaper twice, and bounced and soothed all around the house but she will not fall asleep. We've been doing so well at night lately, I don't know what happened. She's been just a little fussy all day and I'm tired... I want bed!

Max is such a little stinker. I just nursed him and he fell asleep while I was burping him. I swaddle him and put him in his bassinet and he's bright eyes and cooing. I really need him to get used to sleeping on his own because he will likely be spending the night at my parents on Saturday.

So this evening Aamie has been sneezing like crazy and I wasn't to worried about the sneezing. Now her nose is all stuffed up with yellow snot and she has a temp of 99.2 should I be worried? She is still eating, peeing and squishing (pooping) alright.

Gahhhhh LO will NOT go to sleep! Got him to sleep after an hour of rocking, nursing, I put him in his swing(where he sleeps) and he woke up. DHs turn...
Ps. He's gonna be 8 weeks tomorrow and I'm totally heartbroken. It's gone by wayyyy too fast!

I was complaining that LO was fussy and kept nursing on and off the last 2 hours before bed. Praise the Lord, she left for 3 full hours. This is new for us. I wonder if she can do it again.

Charlie is hard to burp at night, but when o sit with him upright before putting him back down, j hear the air slowly gurgling up his throat. I pretty much just wait for that noise to stop before I put him back down. You'd think a burp would be easier...

Hi from 4am. I woke up panicked because it had been over 4 hours since she ate and I had scary dreams. DH knew I was mad because he came home so late and managed to get her to stay sleeping with him out in the living room.

The problem is that is not at all what I wanted! I just wanted him to come home so I could pump, which I never did. All it led to was hard boobs and the right one leaked (the left I should pump but it's 4am and now he is sleeping, she will probably wake when I put her down, let it leak?!), those anxious dreams and finally me jumping out of bed to see why he hadn't brought her in yet.

She is underweight too and here comes the Mom guilt...

@Bmaidplanner I totally understand the anxiety. But try and remember, you are doing a fabulous job, and doing your damnedest for DD. One four hour stretch is absolutely ok and won't hurt her at all, try and get some sleep lady, take some good deep cleansing breaths and keep reminding yourself you're doing great! Hopefully no more bad dreams

Just got up to feed LO, he went to sleep at 11:15 and I went to sleep at 12:45. Yay for that.
We were out all day going to the SS office to replace my DHs SS card and then went to my aunt's house so she could meet the newest addition to the family. He did well being out all day but he doesn't like being under the hooter hider and he had had it by 9:30. He was soo fussy and as soon as we got home he calmed down. So cute he was immediately relaxed and smiley and super snuggly.

I read this thread almost every night during MOTN feeding but by the time I finish reading he's done eating so I don't post. This thread is short tonight so here I am! Also it sucks to type with one hand and autocorrect is so weird.

I'm back and DD slept in her crib in her nursery for 4.5 hours straight plus an hour in the living room before I out her down. Guess the PnP was the problem

guess we'll give it one more night before moving her back into my room.

No long stretches here, just a bunch if envy. DH is so fuckinh annoying I can barely stand it. He's talking but making no sense, I had to nudge him several times for him to turn on the light. LO was screaming by that time and instead if grabbing him to hand him to me, he went pee. I just woke him up because he was snoring too loud and idgaf I'm tired too.

@Lilygrace48‌ - K is a hard burper at night too which is frustrating because he has reflux and he's a big puker. I try to stay up as long as I can but sometimes he just flat out won't burp. What do you do?

Diaper change for pee and she peed while changing her...but I caught it in time with a bunch of wipes! Got rid of the sleep sack and swaddled her since I think it got on that piece of clothing, but no impromptu 5:30 am bath is a win, right?!

@rachelnjacob‌ not lily, but mine are hard to burp too. I pat/rub their back sitting up, put them on their tummies across my knee and pat/rub, put them in their backs and pat/rub their chest, and/or bounce them gently on my knee. It's usually a mix if all of these that result in burps!

@rachelnjacob‌ honestly, of its been more than five minutes with nothing I hold him upright for ten more minutes and then I put him to bed anyway. Some nights he'll complain in a bit and I have to go back in and pick him up and get an immediate burp, others he's fine and just farts more the next day.

Same! Sometimes I can get a burp an sometimes I can't. She will definitely let me know if she's uncomfortable once I put her down.

DH and I were watching some show about the beef industry in japan, and it turns out the feed their cattle alcohol and give them shiatsu massages to "relax the meat". Now everytime I nurse I ask DH where my beer and massage is.

It's warm here and our bedroom is staying warm overnight. I have J in a onesie and swaddleme and he still feels warm. What do y'all do? (No AC here)

Aamie just sleeps in a diaper if it's to warm or a diaper and swaddleme.

My little man cluster fed from about 4:30-9:00pm last night then slept from 9:30-3:30am. I should be grateful for the sleep but I was up worrying there was something wrong that he wasn't waking up. Grrrrr!

I would forgo either the onesie or swaddleme. DS sleeps in just a onesie when in my bed because otherwise he gets too warm and we have AC

LO spits up occasionally, sometimes more than others. I get so nervous putting him to sleep on his back, like he's going to choke himself in spit-up. Anyone else worry about this?

(It seems I fond a new thing to worry about each week and this is this weeks).

@lest12 my little man was super spit uppy yesterday and just cried in his mammaroo and when is set him down period. Which was fine because like you it makes me nervous to lie him down too

J has a new motn routine. He wakes up around 4, eats for his normal 20ish, pulls off/passes out, I get him to burp, reswaddle, back in the RNP, binky and he's out. Five to ten minutes later, he's hubgry and needs to eat for another 20 minutes. I know I have it relatively easy but being up for 1.5 hours at 4 is hard. And exhausting. Especially on days like today when I have to get up at 7:30.

@lest12 Yes! I don't worry about it at night because Isabel is in our room, and I've been waking up really easily whenever she makes a bit of noise, but when I put her down to go take a shower, go pee, etc. I worry about it the whole time I'm not in the same room as her. She's not even a really spitty baby and I still worry about it...

@lest12‌ babies are supposed to have a natural reflex to turn their head to the side when they spit up so that they don't choke. When C was about a month old, I walked in and she had spit up and was choking on it, staring straight up! Yeah, she become a tummy sleeper real fast after that one.

Who goes to bed at 7:30pm.....this girl (and baby)! I have decided instead of waiting for his 10 or 11pm feeding, why not go to bed now. I think this will make me a happier person for the MOTN feedings tonight, instead of crying in the bathroom like I did last night! Goodnight and see you ladies later
