Spotting continued

Thanks everyone for feedback on last post.

I am sad to say it continues. To recap, it started on Sunday am after wiping from peeing that I noticed faint brownish tinge on tp. By the next morning I was at work and thought it looked more reddish, still just after wiping.

Bc I work at the hospital I went right over to my ob office and they did am u/s. Measurements were right on target to 10w4d and HR was 173. Doc said all looked well and baby was moving. I do have a stable left ov cyst but he could not see anything that would explain why I was bleeding some.

So I left reassured, but by later that night again after wiping it was more red. I called on call and they basically said unfortunately there's nothing they can do but it was promising things on u/s had looked good earlier that day.

Again this am it is faint red when wiping. I say I'm
Crampy, but it feels more like the stretching pains and my nerves, but I don't know. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hoping for the best... So nervous.

  • Thank you peggels
  • Fx it's just nothing. Hope it decides to stop eventually. Just try to rest and carry on as normal. I know it's hard and you must be stressed but at least you spoke to a healthcare professional and had an u/s which looked fine.

  • There's not much you can do right now other than take it easy. I know it's scary, but you had a good u/s so hold onto that. There's a lot more blood flow going on down there so maybe something is just temporarily irritated and causing the bleed. FX that it fixes itself soon.

  • Thanks so much. Stayed home from work today to just rest. My daughter (5) is at summer camp for day and hubby is doing errands. Thanks again!
  • The spotting is terrifying...I had some the other night, too, and then I started worrying that I was feeling crampy. It seems to me like it's a lot harder to tell what different feelings are because there's just so much going on down there right now. Thoughts and prayers that everything's fine. The positive u/s is awesome!! Keep remembering that.

  • Spotting is always scary.  So very sorry you are going through this.

From my personal experience, this is my third pregnancy and all three have had spotting.  My first was from an HCG that lasted for about 6 weeks before it passed.  With my second I had placenta previa and spotting until about 14 weeks. Both pregnancies carried on concern free and my girls are happy and healthy, so as scary as it is, it does not always mean terrible things!

    My girls: August 14, 2011 and December 5, 2013

  • At my 13 week (first) appointment, my OB said, a little bit of cramping, a little bit of bleeding/spotting is okay. She also said that a lot of either warranted a phone call.
  • Thanks guys!
  • Fx for you!
  • Take comfort in the fact that your saw your LO happily moving around in there. Fx that it is nothing. You deserve to kick your feet up a little and try to relax (which I know is hard).

  • Thank you lucky penny!
  • I had spotting for a few weeks with my last pregnancy. I was convinced I was going to miscarry, but it never amounted to anything. For me, I worked n an office wearing high heels. I had to walk long distances everyday to and for other offices and I know it sounds crazy but I swear I was spotting from walking and the pressure from the heels. I'm glad you went to the doctors. I hope everything stays where it's supposed to and the spotting goes away.

  • I had faint spotting for most of my pregnancy with DS. Apparently I just had a very sensitive cervix. He's now a happy, healthy 4 year old.

  • Did they say anything about your placenta? That happened to me last pregnancy right around 12 weeks. I had mild previa. My spotting was related to that. Hang in there. Baby looking good= a great sign!
  • Thanks so much for checking in. This am nothing so far thank goodness, last night was minimal after peeing and cleared by bedtime. I'm going to call today and ask for a urine specimen to be done as I had a uti in early weeks.

They said everything looked good including placenta and cervix ?
  • Well that's good that it's not placenta related. Hopefully it was just a tender cervix or just old blood. FX it goes away. When is your next app?

  • I went today and got rhogam and a urine analysis ordered to check for uti. Hoping whatever it is clears up fast. Have an U/S on July 22
  • Was close to seven months when i had broght red spotting one night. Went to matetnal ICU. They couldnt fond anything. They di U/S kidney check infection checks and attached me to machines for monitoring for almost 24 hrs. I then graduated to a normal room and was told they cudnt see anythng cuz DD is well and tests are OK. They later concluded she must be kickin up some veins inside that caused the bleeding. Baby is now 4YO. T&P that u and LO are fine

i love you, my little mooncake mahal kita
