I'm up. Getting kids off to daycare & camp. Back to bed shortly. Planning on taking DS to Hibachi Grill for lunch today. My tummy needs to be completely empty.
We had a crazy storm last night and lost power until almost 11. I literally can't fall asleep without the tv so I pulled up Murder, She Wrote on YouTube on my phone. I'm a pathetic person ">

I'm working. Returning to work after vacation is not fun.
Also, my skin is horribly broken out, which, for some reason, always happens to me after a beach vacation. Seriously; it's disgusting. If you guys could see me, you would banish me to that atrocious zit picking thread until I am once again fit to be looked upon by humans.
Finn's fever hit 104.8 at about 3am. I got him Advil, forced some pedialyte down him (he had be refusing liquids most of the day) and just stared at him for about 30 minutes with my phone in my hand ready to call the the on-call doc. Fortunately the combo brought it down over the next hour or so but I hardly slept at all for the second night in a row.
Urrgg, still on first cup of coffee. Baby was either sleep flailing, awake, or pooping from 12:30-4:30 last nite. I didn't have to get out of bed til 8 but still. Exhausted.
Our bathroom reno starts today. It's looong overdue (DH says it's like showering in a truck stop) and in very excited, but I'm also anxious about how the hell I'm going to get the girls to nap while this is going on in our tiny house.
Thanks @Brewcitygal! The fever only comes on at night. It is really odd. If it happens again tonight I guess I'll be making him an appointment. He also has congestion and a bad cough. I just hate taking him on so they can say "oh yeah, its a virus, you'll just have to wait it out"
Good morning! I'm here drinking iced coffee while DS has breakfast. I have an appt with the baby dr in a bit and will hopefully get to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler for the first time...im nervous, of course. I just want to know that baby is doing well in there! DS is tagging along with me.
Hugs and coffee to all with sick babies...poor kiddos. I hope they feel better soon!
Nothing else really planned for today except that I have to work tonight. Woo hoo. Not.
I'm here. Still sick. So freaking tired, but I slept for pretty much two days straight. Also, had a lovely wave of nausea that hit me as I got out of bed this morning that seemed very much like morning sickness. There is like a 0.0000001% chance that I'm preggo, and since I don't really watch my cycles I don't know exactly when I'm due, but I think it should be about nowish. Come on, Aunt Flo! Let this nausea just be yet another lovely symptom I can't shake!
I feel like crap today. My back is killing me, to the point its making me nauseous. I had to pour out my coffee because it was making me sick. Tragic (
Andplusalso, I forgot my flip flops at home today & have a check up at the dr this afternoon. This is serious. I can not stand wearing socks & shoes in the summertime (but have to for work), so will probably have to work in a stop at the dollar store for a cheap pair of flip flops along the way.
Haven't gotten enough sleep the past two nights, so I'm dragging and having trouble concentrating at work. We got back our proofs last from family photos from a couple of weeks ago, so I was really excited. Annoyingly, the fine print in the photo package we bought says that the 25 digital images we get from our session are only 4x6 resolution printable, so we have to buy enlargements. The pics came out so well (so hard to photograph a 3yo, and the photog got a ton of great pics of her), so like a jackass I just bought the high res images for a ridiculous price.
Bag lunches for me for the next two months ...

We had a bad drop off for DS (DD on the other hand was just fine). I let him walk in and he tripped and fell, resulting in a bit & bloodied lip and crying hysterics....on top of his normal separation anxiety hysterics.
They got him a cold teether to help the pain and I wiped him clean and sat with him a bit but it doesn't help if I stick around too long so I had to go and let them take over.
I cried in my car. I hate that he's so upset at drop offs and him hurting himself was the icing on the cake. I always carry him in but today I let him walk and he gets hurt.
God, I'm sorry! That sounds awful! I bet he feels much better already. Can you call to see if he is still upset? Not that you can go back, but when DD had a rough drop off, I would call once I got to work, and she was always already fine.
Last night I thought really hard about how much it would suck if people were like chickens. Every month that you don't get pregnant you'd have to lay a baby sized egg. Poor chickens. Yes, I did visit the garage. Then I had a nightmare that the Titanic was raised and tons of zombies came out of it.

I'm already planning E's 5th birthday party (using the word 'planning' loosely). I did Alice in Wonderland for her first and I wasn't satisfied with the execution. So for her fifth I want to do it again, but better.
I swear I'm doing more work for unemployment benefits than I ever did at my job! And they may deny me benefits because I'm a student :-S
Really? It would seem that should help. That sucks @BunkinMama I hope you can get it.
Yea, when on unemployment they expect you to take any job with any shift offered to you and if it conflicts with your college classes you are expected to drop out of your class.
That is crazy. I guess I see it, but I think school is a job.
I really want crabs for dinner.
I'm trying to decide how big of a mistake it would be to try and get crabs and deal with a toddler at a restaurant at the same time.

@PeanutButterFox, my friend did an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding. I had so many ideas of what it would be like when I walked in. It was none of that.
We ate off paper plates so I guess that gives you the idea of budget. Not judging. Do I have an Alice board on Pinterest? Lol
I did when I was planning the last party but I deleted it. I should start another one lol.

She turns one in 16 days
Everyone came over last night and we had fajitas and margaritas. I am still sleepy after coffee.
Morning!
I made the mistake of checking my work email and now I'm all agitated about something stupid.
All the kids channels listed together for easier tv babysitting!
Kids are watching animaniacs. I watched that show but never really liked it.

Unemployment benefits suck.
I've got to record how I contacted someone and their name and job title and what became of the contact.
Many open position posting don't list who you're contacting or their position.
And the result? Nothing happened.
I obviously missed something with the potato salad guy. That is kind of hilarious.
