AW: Finally went "public"... (deezidee04)

So DH and I finally decided to go Facebook official with our news! I'll be honest, I was a wreck. At first I was going to write the post, but couldn't bring myself to do it, so I made DH do it. After he had composed the message and attached the sonogram pic of our LO, I burst into tears. I had a little meltdown! I had been putting off sharing this news for what feels like forever. At first I wanted to wait until we were out of first tri. Then when we were out of first tri, I wanted to wait until our A/S. Then after our A/S, I decided maybe we should wait until V-Day. Tomorrow I'm 24 weeks so we decided it was time. DH was so sweet when he saw I was crying, he asked me if I wanted put it off longer and I told him no. I just felt like by finally going public I would jinx this somehow, which I know is completely irrational...but being PGAL sometimes makes us irrational, amirite?? Anyway, it feels good to be out with the news at last. The comments and congratulations we've been receiving all morning have been overwhelming (in the best way!).

Then after it was done DH made me an omelette for breakfast, AND did the dishes. What a guy!

ETA: Attached a pic of our LO because I never actually shared it on here before. It's from our A/S so it's about 5 weeks old, but still such a nice clear shot of our handsome little man

Congrats! I'm sorry it was so frightening to share it. I'm sure everyone is so thrilled and happy for you now that they are in the know! And hooray for such a sweet DH

I totally understand. We waited until almost 20 weeks to go public on FB, and it was a little scary to hit that "post" button. I posted nursery pics today and still had a little bit of that feeling.

I have decided, though, that it never hurts to have well-wishes from people. This baby has people sending love from all over the country.

So, soak up all that love and positive energy. It's good for you and baby!

Congrats on coming out! It's a big, scary step! You should be proud that you had the courage to go public with your good news.

We came out on FB yesterday, too. As soon as I hit post my heart stared pounding! But, it's out there now and I can't take it back. I just keep saying, "Today I am pregnant and I love my baby"
