Joy as a nick name for Josephine?

I've been drawn to Josephine from the start but unhappy with the nick names. This one came to me during my insomnia last night. Does it hold up to the day light?

    I mean-- you can NN your kiddo anything, but Joy is not intuitive at all.

    We have a Josephine, and we mostly call her Josie.  Other NNs I like for Josephine are Joey, JoJo and Posey.  I have also heard Fifi as a NN but I don't love it.

    Thanks, ladies.  I just don't like how "cute" the other nicknames are.  For today, this feels right for us.  Who knows what my indecision will bring tomorrow.

    It's a stretch IMO, but not completely side-eye worthy. Remember though, it might not necessarily stick. When she gets older she might decide she wants to be a Jo or a Josie and not a Joy.
