Welcome to the FUIF Friday Fitness Challenge!

This is a check in for anyone who is trying to get/or stay healthy with diet and/or exercise though the process of IF - Everyone is Welcome - and can join at any time! We will check in every Friday to share our successes and tips, as well as get support when we fall

We set mini goal dates for the first Friday of the month - so our next mini goal date is July 4th. Choose any goal you would like meet by that date and post it to your siggy - it can be anything you want to achieve!

If you continually work towards your goal - you earn the FUIF badge.. and if you meet your goal you get to add that months "star" to your badge

Challenge of the Week #1 - This week let's make a commitment to get a little exercise EVERY day, even if it's just 15 minutes. If you can do a full workout each day, then that's great! Anything counts--weights, moves, running, yoga, etc. If you're cycling, be gentle with yourself and just walk or similar.

Challenge of the Week #2 - Let's be sure that we also GET OUTSIDE this week! It's summer, so go hike, swim, enjoy a park, whatever!

Hopefully I did this okay! It feels like I'm impersonating @penad5!

Last week of the mini-challenge, so let's make it count! I'm starting BCP on Saturday for about 10 days, so I'm going to make sure I get lots of exercise in! I'm giving myself a little vacation from the no-alcohol, no-sugar, no-coffee edicts since the BFN, but I'll be regrouping soon (maybe after the weekend?. I still haven't stepped back on a scale, but I would love to see a number next Friday that made me happy. @geordie314, I also did the Level 1 shred for the first time yesterday. Not bad! Some parts I liked more than others, though, so I probably won't do it every day. I'm not doing the C+B anymore, and I don't know if I'll do that again. My goals for this month were so capricious because of the cycle then the BFN that I'm going to need you ladies to help me decide if I've met them or not!

Hi guys! I'm back finally recovered from the 20 day cold! Today was my appointment with my nutritionist at the RE's office and I was very pleased to have lost 3.2lbs making it a total of 15lbs since I started the nutrition consults.

My next mini goal is to lose 2.5lbs by July 4th

And @pblge I love the challenges for the week!

@pblge, you get the new sticker!!! It is next to impossible to keep sane let alone stick to any goals while doing an IVF cycle. My opinion: you survived, you get the sticker!!! On the topic of C+B, I really liked their FET program (though it means forking over another $50). I miss my C+B meditations, but I'm also really enjoying this break (as much as possible).

@princessisadora, you ROCK for the progress you've made so far!! And a 20-day-cold?! Eww, yuck! I'm hoping that thing is long gone and not coming back!

My progress has been mostly excellent depending on your point of view. Here's the wrap-up:

Exercise: Marathon training is going great! It is officially saving my sanity and I'm loving every second! I've been sticking to my weekly routine (2-3 easy runs, 1 hill or tempo run, 1 long run, 1 core workout, 1 strength workout). Tomorrow, I'm going out for my weekly long run - 14 miles! I will attempt to do the last 2-4 miles at my race pace.

Nutrition: I was considering some changes in this department after reading a good book about improving egg quality. It's a good read (It Starts with the Egg by Rebecca Fett), but at this point I'm thinking it's too late for my eggs. I am OVER my ovaries (and have started to think of them as my OVER-ies, lol). So I'm not doing anything special for my nutrition. It's all about fueling my running, so it is overall pretty healthy.

Emotional: I'm doing as well as I can on this break. It is so strange to go from complete immersion in treatments to the bench. We started with the RE in April 2013, and it was such an intense year of treatments... when I think back, we did so much. 5-1/2 IUIs, 3 IVF ERs, 1 IVF ET, 1 FET, 1 laparoscopy & hysteroscopy... all bang, bang, bang, in a row with no breaks. Now I feel like we're at a standstill. But I thank my lucky stars for marathon training because it's been wonderfully distracting.

@pblge thanks so much for taking over the check in! Love the challenges this week!

I'm a little late checking into the weekly party but I've been doing my best to do both each day! I even started working on my garden - if you can call it that... it's more like a weed field but I'm going to try to get it back under control! But I won't earn this months badge - i haven't been able to stick to anything. I'm hoping a couple weeks of rest and relaxation will give me the refresh i need to start being healthy again.

you probably won't hear from me much over the next couple weeks as I'm on vacation but just wanted to check in and see how you ladies were doing! Seems like as always you are all rocking it!

Coming on to say YAY!!! for the new members!!!!! Welcome to @HollowBerry and @Hoping4LO! You've joined at a good time, as we'll start a new mini-goal on Friday.

You can structure your goals however you'd like, as we all have different aims.

I still haven't figured out what I'll be doing for mine, as I have a FET this month. Never had anything frozen before, so I'm not really sure of the best practices for health, exercise, and diet. Hmmmm.....

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here to IF & FUIF. Just wanted to introduce myself - I live in Seattle with DH & my 2 incredibly adorable (I'm obviously not biased) & bratty Berner Pups

I've had 4 IUIs (all with drugs) & no luck...we had our IVF consult yesterday & the recommendation was that I take couple months off lose atleast 10 Lbs before the ER cycle currently planned for September & I wont have a transfer until December because the research shows South East Asians tend to have lower success rates with fresh transfer because of the way we metabolize the meds differently.

My BMI is currently 37 & my goal is to get to under 30 eventually. I am very excited to start focusing on my fitness and be part of this group! Yayy!!!

Welcome @ddvj79! I lived in Seattle for five years. It's also where I met my husband.

The same husband, unfortunately, did not want to let me get a Bernese Mountain dog (shedding--hard to argue with his point), but we love our greyhound. Point is, feel free to post pics of your dogs ANY TIME so that I can live vicariously!

Hmmmm...maybe it's near time for another Fur Baby Friday?? Perhaps the 4th isn't the best time.
