So I went to target today. A mom with one kid who looks about 6-7 years old was using the double seat shopping cart. Another mom with two kids (a baby and a toddler) was loudly going on and on to the cashier about how rude it is for people with just one kid to use the double seat shopping cart ESPECIALLY with an older child who can WALK for crying out loud. Her little toddler just can't walk all around target and she had so much stuff in the basket that there was no room for her poor precious.
I walked out behind the mom with the double seater and noticed that her son had braces on his legs that went from his knees down into his shoes. I felt so bad for her and her kid having to listen to that nasty wench's rant.
Re: The bump meets real life- double seat shopping carts
Speaking of which, I passed a car on the freeway with the license plate frame: happily divorced from the #1 asshole
That is so sad that the lady and her son had to listen to that.
I always think of a friend who said not to judge people who take the elevator for one floor. His mother had a seizure disorder and had fallen down the stairs more than once. Her doctor told her to avoid stairs if at all possible. Just because you can't see a reason for someone's actions doesn't mean there isn't one.
I got bitched out by some old man once for taking the elevator. I have arthritis so stairs are a bitch sometimes but really...no one needs to defend their choice to take the elevator
There are two. I was looking for one too when I got there but neither was available
If you have the opportunity to give yours up to someone who needs it more than you, good for you.
That lady would have been equally inconvenienced if all the double carts were occupied by multiple children. It still wouldn't sit well with her entitlement.
Does she drive a maroon Cadillac??
My son went with the neighbor and her older son to Target once and her son demands the double seat cart and now my son is the same. I have 2 children so it normally makes sense but I've brought him in alone before and he will flip out if I don't get it. I try to pretend that there aren't any left but if he sees one, forget it! I'd rather just let him use it and get in and out of the store quick than have a screaming toddler, but there are definitely a bunch of double seaters. We also typically go during the weekday so it's not like it's in the evenings or weekend when I'm sure they are busier!
