So many pages! Not sure if it's been asked.. Sorry
For those with success pumping, I am interested in your speed/pattern. I have an avent pump, it latches then I adjust the speed. It has 3 snowflakes sm/m/lg. I am only getting 2 oz altogether 3 weeks post baby. Although when I bottle feed her, she rarely eats more than that in ine sitting. But I would like to store and freeze. I latch then play with buttons to watch the most milk drip down. Once it stops I stop . Continuing just hurts, so 15 min altogether. Any suggestions? Share please?
@babygabe614 My LO got so hangry during let down that he would get fussy and not latch properly so I gave pumped milk at the beginning of the feeding but only like an oz instead of a full pump session then I would finish later if he still gave hunger cues. That got him to gain about 8 oz in 2 days.
My right nipple feels like death and I make DH hold my hand when LO latches. We got a new nipple shield today just in case anything happened to the one we have and it is a little harder material and it is amazing! I don't cry with the latching, thank goodness. I don't know if I will ever be able to not use the nipple shield and I don't really care
@ugabamafans I started pumping in the am bc she's sleeping more through the night. We use the tommy tippee and avent. No problems with either, but my little chunk monkey isn't picky, she just wants food now!

@ugabamafans Because of some initial weight loss I started pumping at like 5 days and going back and forth between breast and Tommy Tippee bottles and Avent bottles. He latched like a champ from day one and the bottles have really only helped him focus better. I pump to feed him bottles at night but I make sure to nurse a ton during the day. Not sure if that makes a difference or not though.
@ugabamafans my girls switch between boobs (w/ and w/o nipple shields), bottles, pacifiers, etc. Like @jshrop they just want the fooood! I hope you have good luck!
