Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Thank you everyone for your kind words and/or insight as to why I've been spotting for 2+ weeks. I called my dcotor's nurse's line yesterday, and the nurse said that I should be seen. I scheduled an appt for Monday, but if I stop spotting over the weekend, the nurse said I can just cancel the appt.

What are you doing?: BBT, CM, PNV, sex! Oh and I'm the crazy one who invented sperm healthy trail mix... But DH liked it better in cookie form... Just a new level of crazy (I'm new..by month three I'll level out I promise)

R/R/CS: I started temping thanks to all your advice! It's exciting at first to get to know my cycle this well! Although my thermometer says low battery after only having used it twice. Thank you CVS.

Favorite book: When I was little I liked "The Pokey Little Puppy". I don't read that to my class because it's not as great as I thought it was back then!

@nikki8jean, most of the ladies on here recommend a Mabis thermometer. I ordered a Nexcare from amazon which seems to be working pretty well so far.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Well I took an OPK yesterday and it was very negative. The only day I missed was Tuesday because I ran out and the days before the line was getting darker each day. Is it possible I missed the surge? Now just waiting for my temps to stay up so FF can confirm CH.

GTKY: What was your favorite book when you were little?
My sister always read Hans Christian Anderson Fairy Tales to me....The Snow Queen, The Red Shoes, etc. Kinda scary in retrospect lol.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Nothing really. The last four or five days my temperature has been the same, which I don't usually have just a flat line chart. So I got worried that my thermometer was broken so a little later I took my temperature in the day and got the same temp. I then made my husband take his temperature and it was finally different. But I was still a little worried so last night I took it to make sure I got a different temperature. It was working fine. And this morning I finally got away from my flat line. Funny the little things that eat away at you.

GTKY: What was your favorite book when you were little? I really liked Clifford growing up.

@linny1012 It is certainly possible to have a short surge 2 days before O. It is possible you could O today but also possible that it is a fake out. Whether to push sex is up to you. If you O today -1 and -2 is still good timing even if you don't hit O. I'm hoping tomorrow shows a temp rise for you!

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: watery CM today. If my previous pattern holds that means I will O on CD 19 and I get back to see H on the CD 18. I wish I could start having sex today but hopefully we can before O.

Rants: I can even be bothered to type out the rest of this category cause all I have today is a rant. MH is in the Navy and in a week be going out underway for 2 weeks. The problem is, with AF coming 3 days early my anticipated O date is now the day he gets home! We will be lucky if we manage to hit a single day this month. Fuck.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: I'm 95% sure I'll O on vacation. I'm also 95% sure MH won't want to attempt sex in a house with 8ish other people.

GTKY: What was your favorite book when you were little? I'm going to go with Are You My Mother? bc I know my mom liked to read it to us.

Funny story I want to share. It's about poop so if you have no interest in poop, skip over this. My friends and I are disgusting and like to talk about these kinds of things.

I went for a run this morning and learned a very important lesson. Don't run after eating a bar that has a lot of fiber in it. I didn't think it would act so quickly. My stomach was cramping so badly that I couldn't run the second half. But then I HAD to run bc I had to get home. I sprinted the last quarter mile bc IT WAS COMING. I almost had to shit on someone's lawn, which I'm sure isn't very neighborly. I tore through my house to get to a toilet. It was a rough start to the day.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: So DH asked me when my next FW will be yesterday. He's paying attention a bit. This is strange to me. I'm kinda at the time where it would be inconvenient at work to be out on maternity in 9 months, but when it was the good months, we were under a lot of stress with his parents and visits and he had fallen off his bike and needed stitches in his upper thigh that made daily sex pretty much impossible. But who knows, maybe this will be the month.

What are we doing - first round of clomid(had absolutely no side affects which makes me nervous this whole cycle is a bust but will know tomorrow at our Day 12 u/s), BBT, OPK's, PNV and ED sex (in pervious cycles this one we are waiting for the go ahead and hoping to avoid the bench).

Rave - my twins turn 7 this Sunday and we leave for our Lakehouse in NY tomorrow after our appt, I'm soooooo excited! My in laws are already there and my brother and his wife are driving up today! Let's get this party started! Have a happy 4th everyone!!!

Favorite book as a child was The Secret Garden.

@siuttybigb00bz‌ this last period spotted for 3 days, had a very light period for 2 days (and I've been spotting since then). But I don't think there is reason to be concerned about a shorter period. You can always call a nurse's line and ask.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: I think I will O today or tomorrow and then I'll have to wait on CH. I had 2 +OPKs yesterday and today - . Having a lot of O cramps - just an excuse to say mittelschmerz. So I'd like to get one more sex session in tonight, but H wasn't very pleased with me waking him last night to do it. So we'll see.

What are you doing to get pregnant?: Temping, PNV, EOD sex, Metformin (start tonight)

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: IDK what to think of this cycle; I usually ovulate around CD 14, all of my OPKs have been NOWHERE close to positive even at CD13. My frustration is growing with TTC, my OBGYN gave me Meformin and still pressed for me to see a RE given what he thinks is a luteal phase defect. Made an appointment to see the RE, let's see how this goes. Metformin because my blood tests came back as pre-diabetic; both of my parents are diabetic. I'm hoping that this is just precautionary, I do NOT want to be on this drug for the rest of my life, so I guess I'll cut out the carbs and sugar for now. (Here I am thinking I'm healthy, I run at a minimum 10 miles a freakin week and I still have to take Metformin....no I do not have PCOS) Sorry just a little disappointed today...I would really love for my body to get on board with this freakin journey!

GTKY: What was your favorite book when you were little? My favorite book was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie - I read this book to my niece and nephew every so often & they love it.

Whenever you feel comfortable. Last cycle for me it was really obvious I O'd so I moved then. Up to you.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: My cold finally seems to be subsiding, ie: I can feel my face and breathe normally. I was too sick Tuesday and DH had stomach issues, so our ED plan starts tonight, and I hope we didn't miss out on good timing if O I early.

GTKY: What was your favorite book when you were little? My favorite as a child was one my grandpa used to read me: No good the dancing donkey. I recently found a copy and it's sitting in our spare room with other future baby odds and ends.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: last month was my first month off BCP so i can't really use it to judge what this month will look like...kind of hope my cycle comes down to 28-29 days from last month's 34. And hoping that i O (because i hear stories about poeple getting AF the first month and then skipping a month post-BCP).

GTKY: What was your favorite book when you were little? When i was really little? Angelina Ballerina. When i was a bit older i loved Sweet Valley Twins, Babysitters Club, Nancy Drew, RL Stine books, Judy Blume, etc. I read a lot as a kid.

@holly628‌ - It's very possible you missed the surge. It definitely looks like the O date predicted is correct. Also, I usually wait until I get my CH to move over to 2WW. I'm kind of glad I did this month since I thought for sure I ovulated on CD15 but I don't think I ovulated until today. So I would have moved back and forth between the two threads. But that's just me. It's totally up to you!

@linny1012‌ - It's tough to say but if it were me, I would probably HIO just in case. As much as I love the info I get from charting, I hate that you don't get concrete answers until after the fact.

I kind of can't believe I'm here right now. DH and I got the go ahead from my metabolic clinic to TTC so we decided to start now rather than August. What's a month anyways? I don't feel like its real yet!

What are you doing to get pregnant?: BBT, charting, PNVs, OPKs, lots o' sex - starting ED today through O.

Chart stalks: my temps are all over the place due to my work schedule. Plus I plan to be drinking on this fine holiday weekend so I'm sure my temps will be way high because of that so I'm hoping the OPKs will help sort things out since this is my first month using them after 6 cycles of charting

GTKY: Love You Forever was my favorite childhood book. When I got older, anything Shel Silverstein I loved and I was obsessed with R.L. Steins "Fear Street" series books!
