So this may sound super dumb seeing as how I'm pregnant, but I am deathly afraid to gain weight. I haven't gained any weight so far and I'm sitting at 14 almost 15 weeks! By no means do I starve myself, I eat when I'm hungry.. But I definitely haven't increased my portion sizes or the number of times I eat.
Super embarrased but..
Anyone else struggling with the idea of weight gain?

We have to be each others support system because as badly as our husbands think they understand they have no idea.
Do not be afraid or unwilling to reach out for trained help, either a therapist, a counselor, or a health coach, particularly if you have struggled with disordered eating in the past. @jeanessaaa is right, our husbands are rarely the best place to turn for help or comfort with this
I work with clients with these feelings all the time, and I even find myself struggling with it from time to time. Be kind to yourself, reach out.

@jeanessaaa - I haven't gained any weight yet either, and I have the moments where I start to panic about the possibility of gaining weight - even though it's inevitable. My only piece of advice is to remember that your body isn't really yours right now. Your body is your baby's body and you need to keep it as healthy as possible so that your baby will reap the benefits. You can also continue to exercise daily (not excessively or intensely). My friends keep reminding me that this is the time to embrace the weight gain.
I've gained a bit, but not as much as I had with DD by this point (though my belly looks much bigger!). There was only a few pounds difference prior to starting both pregnancies and I ended up gaining 32 pounds with her, which was terrifying (I had eating disorders when I was younger). But I lost it all relatively quickly. With the right diet and exercise, you can too.
I certainly don't starve myself either. I eat when I am hungry. I'm not overly hungry, ever. I try to eat healthy, but most food typically sounds gross so I don't always succeed in this arena.
Please make sure your body is getting the nutrients that baby needs to thrive. Your body will gain what it needs to gain for baby. I know it's easier said than done, but just try to trust that no matter how much you gain, it's a good thing.
