Updated: Heat Rash?

For the last couple of days C has gotten these tiny red bumps on him. Started on his chin, now they are some on his back, stomach and arms. At first I thought it was like a heat rash because it has been really hot and humid and he sweats like crazy, but it cooled off last night and I think he has a few more this morning.

Anyone have experience with this? They are really small, look like red dots and he is acting completely normal.

TIA!

Update: the Dr has no idea what the rash is exactly. Says it's probably viral and hopefully passes soon. It's worse today:(

  • DD gets that.  Dr. said its from moisture---chin from drool, back from sweat.  If they aren't open sores or hot to the touch, to just keep an eye but he should be fine.

  • My LO has that and the pedi says it's eczema. It can be caused by a lot of things, from heat to allergies and he told us it will get worse when she is sick, teething, etc. He said to just keep it moisturized, so I put aquaphor on it when I remember or when it gets kinda bad. Some days it gets pretty red and other days it's barely there.

  • Dads looked more like sporadic pin pricks. There is a thing going around where I live called slapped cheek (real thing I had to look it up). Maybe he has that?

  • It doesn't really look like slap cheek or fifths to me, it usually has fever with it and it is the off season for when it usually occurs. Has he been eating strawberries they can sometimes cause a rash like that. Hope it clears up soon for the little guy.

He's going to the Dr in the am. I called to inquire but she wants to see him.

  • Did he have a fever at all a few days before? Jack had roseola and it sort of looked like that.

  • Like @Oohgurl‌ , Emmett had a rash just like that a few days after he had a fever. It was roseola.

He never had a fever. The pedi is stumped. What was the treatment for roseola?

  • Nothing, when the rash showed it was the end tale of it. His symptoms were high fever for 2-3 days before and then no fever and rash. We took him when the rash showed up and pedi said that was the downswing and he was cleared at that point to go back to DC. I think the rash lasted about 4 days.

Yeah, the Dr said whatever it is, it's viral, so just wait for it to pass.
