Anatomy scan not so great :(

Our baby girl Avery has a heart defect. I had a feeling something was wrong when the tech told us she was sure we were going to have to come back after doctor looked at pictures. She was pretty good at covering up that something might be wrong.

I'm really upset. I'm sure everything will turn out ok. Now I have to wait 2 weeks to see her again and find out exactly what it is.

And I got the call while at work. Just ruined my whole day.

They said minor. A ventricular defect. I really don't know for sure. It just sucks! I thought she was having a hard time getting pictures of the heart and said we would have to come back to get some more. So I suspected something was up. I just wish I didn't have to worry. I'm sure it will be fine in the end. I shrugged it off for the past week and celebrated that we were having a girl!

That is a great way to approach it! And it most definitely sucks. As PP have said, with todays medicine there is so much we can fix but I'll definitely have FX that it heals on it's own before baby arrives. Big hugs.
