Stroller advice?

FTM and looking at: Citi mini versa, city mini GT or uppa baby Cruz. I love the uppa baby vista but don't want to spend so much. I like the wheels on the GT but like how the other stroller seats are able to be parent facing and forward facing. What do you have and would you recommend it?
Thanks!

Re: Stroller advice?

  • You can buy the GT wheels for the versa, that would be my pick (it is the stroller I have) at 21 months DD still likes to face me 80% of the time she's I the stroller. It is also a great price at a bunch of stores lately.

  • know what you mean about wanting baby to face you. If planning to use an infant adaptor with City Mini GT, baby will face you for the time you have LO in the infant seat.

Walmart does have an inexpensive stroller & car seat combination (which is supposed to be decent) that will allow you to have LO face you. I think it is called the Petal or something like that. It tends to be sold out online, but may be available in store.

I do really like my City Mini GT. Still get major stroller.envy over some of the Valco strollers, but LO will be out of the stroller soon enough so am trying to hold back since already got 3 strollers.

  • had the wrong name. Contours was one of them, Urbini Omni is another of the Walmart strollers that will let child seat face parent.

  • Thanks. @AKB090609‌ how old can you put newborn in the versa? Also I heard when the seat is in most upright position, the child isn't able to sit totally upright. Have you found that?
  • DD has never complained, I think the seat is pretty upright and her straps are loose enough that she can lean forward to look around if she wants. I use an 'uppa baby vista snug seat insert' in my versa and will be putting a 5-6day old in the stroller next week. The insert has a wedge that fills in the 'v' of the seat to make it nearly flat when fully reclined.

I also have the Versa and the snug seat and will be doing the exact same thing with my newborn.

  • As far as those selections go. My preference would not be the city mini gt. I have it and even though it pushes on a dime, it's heavy and awkward to unfold. I wish I would have gotten the city mini or britax b-agile. I'm not help with the forward facing bc it wasn't a big deal when DS was born but now it's definitely something I would consider.
