Maybe for Labor Buddies, a good way to figure it out would be to match-up based on ticker changer threads? Pick someone earlier/later from your thread each week?

I am not very good with words. So I am one of the infrequent poster and lurker kinda . I am kinda waiting to post a lot of my posts till September. Majority of my questions are irrelevant till then, but then look out when those months hit you will not be able to get rid of me . I love all you by way

Questions like what? Many of us FTMs have bugged the STMs with questions that pertain to the 3rd tri, after birth, raising multiple kids, products we haven't bought, etc... the moms are really helpful on here. Post away!

I think the idea behind the ticker changer group is just because you somewhat know those ladies and they are regular posters more invested in the board than the randoms who just post on the SS thread.
My cesarean is scheduled for the 24th I don't think I'll be needing a labor buddy. I will update you ladies about it before and after babies arrival : ) Also like others said i exclusively mobile bump, so no signatures for me. I used to computer bump, so i'm not sure if there are things in my signature you guys see that need to be deleted or updated. Hope i post enough to be considered a reg. I believe i do but i'm a worry wart.

I never had one with my previous kiddos. I don't even tell extended family when I am in labor--my focus needs to be on birthing my kiddo, not announcing every detail to the world. I'll come on after with an announcement with team, time and measurements.
I agree with this. Isn't it just as easy to post on the board that you're in labor (if you want to) as it is to text/facebook your labor buddy? I guess I have a hard time seeing the point, but whatever a person wants to do.
Like @lissydee - I will not be posting on facebook or anywhere else that I am in labor. Family and friends will be notified after this boy is born (how long after depends on what time he's born and how labor and delivery went). I think I'll just want some time to spend with our little family and to try and have a few hours/a day to recover.

If I am correct, a lot of labor buddies were used in my previous bmb to tell bad news. Most of the moms came on a posted their birth stories and photos when things were ok, it was if there were complications that the labor buddies updated.
Doing the labor buddy is completely voluntary. Nobody will be forced it's just suppose to be something fun that we do to get to know each other better and to make updates easier. I talk to my girls daily and I have the Facebook messenger app. It's easier for me to open that and send them a message then open it up here.
I would love to have a STM+ as a labor buddy. Not that I have anything against the FTM, being one and all, but I would love to have someone I could ask my crazy questions to before I get to the hospital and can bug the nurses.

For those only on mobile (who can't see my sig tickers)...I am a STM (DD is 15 mos), I had a CS and will have a scheduled RCS on Nov 7 (EDD, Nov 15) but I think I will go into labor early like I did with DD.

I'm a Wednesday ticker change too. I've noticed there are only like 5-7 people that post on it (when it even gets started) too.

I'm also in the camp of feeling like I'd be the last one to get picked but in all honesty I'm also freaked with sharing personal info with anyone I haven't met in real life. Chances are everyone is totally normal. BUT there is always the chance that someone on here is actually a 50 year old man with a pregnancy fetish. With my luck, that's who my labor buddy would be! It's why I don't post on HDBD or have pics of me as an avatar or in a signature. There are just toooo many weirdos in the world.

I posted info to the spreadsheet way back in the day when I first learned I was pregnant and participated in a lot of the get to know you threads and generally just soaked up all the info being shared since I'd never been pregnant before... then the board seemed to be struck by a plague of bad news... and we got our own bad news... I miscarried 2 weeks before mothers day, the day we had planned to announce to the world that we were expecting. I was in a really negative head space and couldn't bare to visit the board. My betas returned to zero and I finally got a normal period, so this month has been the first cycle we have been ttc again and I felt that I could bare to drop by and see how everyone was doing. I see there has been a lot more heartache since I became inactive and a lot of good news, too. I pray you all have a healthy, happy remaining nine months and feel free to remove me from your spreadsheet. I'm sure there are many more like me who initially posted in their excitement and were met with tragedies of their own that have kept them away, not everyone was just a drive by poster :-/
