Maybe it would help DS STTN since some of you posted that ever since doing it, your LO was able to put him/herself back to sleep. If your LO often falls asleep while nursing and you did Ferber, how did you make that work? As I replied to that post, when DS falls asleep nursing, I transfer him to the crib..but that goes against the idea of putting them in their crib while they are still awake.
TIA!

Re: Ferber post got me thinking..
In the book, Ferber says that if the baby wakes up after 5am you should get up and get started with your day - the likelihood of him going back to sleep is slim. This happened a few times for us in the beginning, but he now regularly wakes up between 6:15-6:45.
That being said, the other night he woke up at 11pm and was having a really hard time falling back to sleep. He's been doing great so I knew he must need me for something. I went in to feed him and then he slept the rest of the night through. It was earlier than usual but I think you need to be flexible and just go with your gut.
Hope that helps! Good luck!
