Exccuuuusseee me???

A secretary in my office just asked me if I'm carrying in my butt, because she "doesn't remember it being that big."

wow.

With that being said, I do have a big butt :0), I always have. But I rock it! Still, no one but my DH should be commenting on it!

Well that's rude! I had a coworker joke that soon we wouldn't be able to fit past each other in the hall. Why do people think this stuff is ok?

  • What a dick!

Off topic, but I'm jealous of your big butt. I wish my butt would grow... it's small and sad. :/

  • Yeah, that's pretty rude...unless you are close friends that just tease each other all the time, but it sounds like that's not the case. My dad and little sis have no problem telling me that my butt is getting bigger...I just have to laugh it off, because my family always teases each other.

  • What a jerk!
  • Totally off the subject- We got a delivery at work today on a semi-truck, which means we unload it.  Supposed to have 24 hr notice so I am not alone when it came, but that didn't happen.  Truck driver asked if I was due today.  No.  Then said good, because delivering a baby is not on his delivery manifest today.  He then proceeded to watch me unload 798 pounds worth of heavy boxes off the back of the truck.  Thanks for the help ahole.
  • Wow! I cannot believe the lack of filter on some people. The cashier at Arby's asked me today if I was 8 months along :| I said "No, not due until October". This is my 3rd baby in 5 years so I know I'm bigger but not
    8 months big!

Ugh. Seriously people! I dont get the comments people make! How rude!
  • This morning a co-worker told me I'm getting bigger every day. What does that even mean?
Well... we ARE getting bigger every day... :-/
It was more like, what do I say to that? All I could say was thanks? I think?

  • What nerve! How did you respond?!

  • I just sarcastically said "nope, I've always had a big butt and hips, thanks!"

  • How completely rude - I would have followed up with something equally as rude back, but just me!

I'd like to say you're a better person than I am, but truth be told, even though I would like to have had a snarky comeback, I probably would have mumbled something incoherent and headed for the restroom to cry and examine my butt in the mirror for a half hour. ;)

  • Sorry OP! That's just rude & unnecessary! I would have definitely shot back a snide remark, you are better than I am at biting your tongue!

I headed to my office, teared up for about 30 seconds, looked at my butt in the mirror on the back of my door, and decided it's not getting BIGGER, which was enough to make me happy.

  • Why were they looking? I would have simply pointed to my wedding ring and walked away.
  • If it's a stranger who didn't know I was pregnant, I've always wanted to look at them blankly with confusion and say "I'm not pregnant". Then laugh histerically when they look horrified for being such a jackass to begin with. Unfortunately, no strangers have said anything to me before or lately so I haven't be able to do that.

  • just to clarify, the secretary who made the comment is a woman.

  • WTF??? That is so rude and inappropriate. That's probably considered a sexual harassment violation. Not that it would be worth it to report her, but it just amazes me how dumb some people are.

  • She's old and has 4 kids, I think somehow that makes women feel entitled to make those comments.

  • Wow, the nerve of some people! The other day at Cracker Barrel this older gentlemen asked me when my twins were due! I politely told him I'm not having twins and I'm due in October. His wife was pretty mortified and told him you don't ask people that! And he said "well everyone always wants twins!" I told him since this was my 4th baby I don't want twins!
  • I have a friend who is also due in October. She works in a retail store and she has had multiple people ask her if she is having twins since she is so big...she is NOT having twins. She got so upset the other day that she told a lady, "Nope, not twins, just fat!"

  • That is unbelievable but sounds like you handled it really well! When I was 14 weeks my BIL's girlfriend asked me "So what does it mean that you're so big already? Does that mean it's gonna be a boy or something?" Smh....
