does a blood clot mean miscarriage?

I am 6 weeks and 4 days today and last night i had some cramping and back pain so i took a warm shower then layed down trying to get comfy but couldn't. i kept telling myself it's nothing just the cervical erosion. so i finally got up to pee it took awhile and i felt a blood clot come out but this wasn't any clot it had white around it and black.... my heart dropped and i knew i lost the baby... i called my boyfriend into the bathroom to take a pic. i cried myself to sleep. has this happened to anyone? was it a miscarriage? should i be alarmed? i am going to the WETU building which is a er for pregnant woman to get an ultrasound to make sure everything is ok.

Hmm call your dr. They will either ask you to come in for a check up or ask you to wait. A blood clot could be many things and only a dr would be able to confirm that.

You probably meant this to go on Feb 15. But, to answer your question, yes you should be somewhat alarmed, but no, it may not have been a miscarriage. The doctor is the only one who can tell you.

i called my obgyn they were rude to me told me i had to come in at that time or they wouldn't see me... and i told her was an emergency and that i had a blood clot and was still bleeding due to my cervical erosion.

What?! I am confused by this... why didn't you go to you organ if they wanted to see you right then?

I would find a new practice immediately. Any obgyn office that does not help you when needed is not worth it! They need to tell you what to do even if it is after hours.

i live an hour away. they know this and she was rude because the time she gave me there was no way i could beat traffic and if i was 20 mins. late they would have not seen me even if it was an emergency. i had a ultrasound at 5 weeks and 2 days because of spotting and baby was healthy they will be able to see and maybe a heartbeat. i am a nervous wreck at the moment i am a first time mommy and don't wanna loose this baby...... ( sorry if spelling is off crying)

I am really sorry. That is a scary thing. I have been there. Just go get checked out. They may not be able to tell you anything for sure at this early stage, but at least you will feel better knowing you did all you could. Hopefully everything is ok! (And I would find a new OB.)

I'm sorry you're going through this, but none of us are doctors and even if we were, we couldn't diagnose over the internet.

Please go get checked out. Anywhere. Urgent care, emergency... Whatever you decide.

wait... she'd rather post on the wrong BMB than go to the hospital? and if my OB refused to see me because I was late and it was an emergency, I would demand to be seen. or, yanno, go to the HOSPITAL instead of bumping. I don't understand this. and if this is true, I'm not trying to make OP feel guilty but when you passed what you thought was a clot, why didn't you go to the hospital then? you said you cried yourself to sleep but is there a reason why you didn't go to the ER or L&D triage?

I went to the er and just got back they said my HG levels are at 5879 she wasn't sure if that was a good number and the doctor did a ultrasound ( not vaginal) and saw no baby but told me not to freak out. he called my obgyn and i have a appointment tomorrow and i was labeled a threatened miscarriage so on bed rest until my appointment tomorrow. my temp was 99.2

i didn't know i was posting on the wrong board my mistake and after this doctor appointment i am getting a midwife. hopefully everything goes well have not been cramping or anything and had heartburn today. sorry i didn't get back to you all sooner i was in the er waiting.

i had a scan at 5 weeks and 2 days and they said the pregnancy was going well and the baby is healthy and that was on the 10th of this month. i just worry because like i may or may have not said i am a first time mom and i have not talked to a lot of moms with ir had crevical erosion and get worried everytime something changes.

doctors appointment was a follow up... and i got no answers only what i knew and my ultrasound is the 26th but my nurse called and i missed the call she left a message saying to call back it's about my ultrasound.... but the office is closed til monday morning..... now i just sit and wait.... and now i am get cramps in my hips and passing small normal clots... i'm more worried than ever.....

You're right TLex. I think people were skeptical at first because parts of her story seemed confusing then just got carried away with telling her to go to the doctor.

I'm sorry OP. I hope everything is ok and it does sound like you've been given the best care available at this point.

update! my doctor follow up left me with no answers so i'm waiting Thursday for my ultrasound. thanks for all the prayers and love set to me. p.s i'm 7 weeks today

hopefully my appointment goes well and i hear a little heart beat.
