It's looking like this wasn't an accident. I am completely disgusted.

A few highlights: the dad had his son out for breakfast just a few minutes before arriving at work. Childcare is on site AT HIS JOB. He went back to his car on his lunch break. And the real kicker is that he had an internet search on his laptop for "How long does it take an animal to die in a hot car."

I can't believe I defended this guy. I thought it was just a horrible accident that could happen to anyone, but turns out he's a sick fuck who deserves to rot. Lock him in the car all day and see what happens as far as I'm concerned.

If he seriously did this on purpose then it's murder. Especially if they have the proof of his Internet searching prior to the incident occurring.

The parking lot he pulled into is for the shopping center with the babies r us that we bought our crib for DD from. Way to close to home here.

Info is obviously still coming out, but technically the childcare wasn't at his jobsite. It's at the main campus for home depot's headquarters and he worked out if a satellite office. Still within .5 miles and I do suspect it wasn't an accident, but let's make sure correct information is being spread.

That makes me want to throw up. If he went back to the car at lunch, and his son hadn't passed out, he would be screaming. You would think someone would hear him... my heart breaks for that little boy, and his mother.

That poor baby! I can't even imagine. I have been hearing a lot of stories about people being in a hurry and forgetting their baby in the back seat. I read somewhere that people will leave their cell phones in the back with the baby so that they remember. I can't believe that someone would do this maliciously though ... It's sick!

I am really ashamed of the fact that I know this dude. I defended him at first, but the more info that comes out the more happy I am that our acquaintanceship was short lived.

Went to college together. I didn't think he did... we knew each other from a church group. Shows you never really know someone and that church doesn't mean that you are a good person.

Remember that Casey Anthony case where she googled chloroform and other nasty stuff that was used in the death of her child and she still got away with it? I hope this guy goes to prison for life.

I cut this out of parents magazine a few months back:

7 Ways To Not Forget Your Child:

1. Be extra alert if your routine changes. That's when the risk of unintentionally leaving your child in your car increases.

2. Put something of your child's, like a toy, on the front seat.

3. Leave an item you'll need at your next destination in the backseat - like your purse, cellphone, or briefcase.

4. Place your child's seat in the middle of the backseat rather than behind the driver. It's easier to see the kid.

5. It's crucial to set up a system with your child-care provider. If you don't plan to drop your child off that day, call her. If your child doesn't arrive as expected, have the caregiver call you.

6. Discuss the topic of hot-car deaths with every person who drives your child anywhere. That includes your partner, grandparents and babysitters.

7. Always "Look Before You Lock." Get in the habit of checking the backseat every time you get out of your car.

Sometimes I wish the US would have punishments that better fit the crime in times like these. For example, I'd be completely ok leaving this guy handcuffed in the back seat of a car on a hot ass day and let him experience what he did to that baby.

I'm a FTM with only a small amount of childcare experience and I totally understand how people forget their children in the back seat. It's all about a change in routine or if your mind is on something else and your child falls asleep on the way to daycare. It's human error and the best way to avoid it is to do everything in your power to remember!

DS is 22 months old and I bawled yesterday reading this. I just can't comprehend and its nauseating. The eyewitness accounts of his over exaggerated response to "finding" his son in the car shows a lot of red flags. My heart hurts so bad just thinking about the suffering that little boy went through.

When this story first came out last week, I felt sorry for the dad because it seemed like it was a legit mistake. If the reports coming out now are true, I hope he is punished to the full extent.

Another incident happened not far from me the same day this poor baby was left in a car. A 20 year old woman deliberately placed her 2 WEEK OLD infant son in the trunk of her SUV (4-Runner) and covered his carrier with a blanket to disguise him so that she could go take an exam.

In this case, the child was discovered before it was too late. What is WRONG with people???

I felt sorry for the dad last week, too, because with my current mommy brain I'm scared of something like this happening to me. (Though my current plan is to leave everything of value to me in the back seat when I have the little guy with me...that way I shouldn't be able to forget anything.)

Now this info just makes me sick to my stomach. Poor little guy. No one deserves that fate. Where's the mom in all this?
