What pants are you wearing?

edited June 2014 in May 2014 Moms
Just tried on my pre pregnancy pants. I'm 6w PP and the pants won't close by at least one inch. Yikes. So what pants are you wearing these days?

Re: What pants are you wearing?

  • All except pre-preg pants :-/
  • I'm mainly wearing yoga pants, pjs and maxi skirts. However I did try on 2 pre preggo pants and they fit pretty good, a little tight in the waist but not bad. I tried on a pair of shorts, I was able to button them but were really tight.

  • Mostly yoga/workout pants/capris/shorts and I also just bought a handful of regular shorts in a size up from my pre-preg size. I have no ill-conceived notion that I will fit into my old pants this summer and I wanted real shorts to wear.

  • This is the first day in a long time that I'm actually wearing yoga pants. It was a long night ...
I'm wearing my materinty pants a lot lately because my hips are a bit wider than they were pretty pregnancy, even though I'm basically back to my pre pregnant weight. But I am able to wear all my normal summer dresses and skirts now. I even squeezed into a couple pairs of pre pregnancy shorts this weekend. They used to be my slightly loose at the hips shorts and now they just fit ...

  • I'm back in my pre-pregnancy pants. Mat pants are too loose but I do have to wear my belly band with some of my pants now because they don't all zip up.

  • I have some pre-pregnancy jeans that fit, but I still wear my maternity jeans to be more comfortable depending on what I am doing!

  • Don't hate me but I am in a size smaller then before I got pregnant. I was really sick with this pregnancy and I could barely eat.

  • I have worn my pre preg jeans twice but since it's so hot I am sticking to dresses and leggings. At home it's all sweatpants all the time.
  • Pjs and maternity pants. Even one of my maternity pants is too small -- I feel like my hips got bigger after delivery! That and I'm not as active before since I mostly sit in my apt and feed LO all day.
  • Jeggings count as not real pants, right? They have elastic waistbands. Or else I wear yoga pants, dresses and PJ pants. :P My hips are too big yet for post baby pants.

  • My pre pregnancy pants are too big, but one pair of maternity jeans fit and a black pair of my maternity pants still fit and I've been wearing those. Shorts that I had and were too tight last summer are fitting me, I have a pair of non maternity jeans that were way too small last year I am able to get on, but are still a little tight same with my white capris- it's now my goal to fit into these pants by the end of summer!

  • It's a little but of everything: yoga pants/leggings, real pants in larger size, maternity jeans, pre-pregnancy dresses.

    One thing it's NOT: Pre-pregnancy pants. :(

  • SS - I don't know for sure if I fit into pre preg clothes because I am too afraid to try! I am just going to go ahead and assume that's a big N-O for now. I'd rather not depress myself by trying to squish myself into them, so for now I live in yoga capris and dresses. Thank goodness for summertime!
  • A week before I gave birth to my son I bought a size smaller in maternity capris and shorts. I knew I wouldn't be fitting in my pre preg size 2 and 4 shorts this summer and I didn't want to feel bad about that. I have a nice stash of elastic waisted bottoms, it's great!

I voted 'yoga pants etc'. Im still wearing some mat shorts, but they're now a bit too big. But pre preg shorts are still just a teeny bit to small. I can do them up but its muffin top central, and not comfy at all. I refuse to buy any new shorts as I bought new ones last summer. Thankfully Im on mat leave all summer, so no one side-eyes my yoga shorts at all! Its a bonus as Im always ready to go for a walk outside, clothing wise. :)

  • I lost all my baby weight, but my post c-section body can't wear my old pants because of the shelf that hangs over. I'm starting to panic about work.
  • I voted SS. I'm wearing my prepregnancy shorts but the have a drawstring (and buttons and zippers). But still can't fit in my pre-preg jeans, partly because I've only lost 15 of the 50 lbs I gained in pregnancy.

    I'm worried about work pants.

  • I've been wearing almost nothing but yoga pants and skirts. But my sister bought me some new clothes at Target the other day and it was so demoralizing. I'm up 3 sizes from pre-pregnancy. But since I only fit into yoga pants and stretchy skirts, I needed some more options. I'm really afraid my hips won't go back to my pre-pregnancy size and none of the clothes I own will fit.

    This is me :(

This for me too. The pounds are gone but im afraid the hips might be here to stay...
  • I'm not trying on my pre-baby clothes until I'm sure they will fit. I don't need that, haha. I rock yoga pants, maxi skirts and a pair of jeans I bought at old navy in a bigger size. All my maternity stuff has been put away.

  • I was able to wear pre-pg clothes at 10dpp, though the belly is still squishy and gives a bit of a muffin in the lower rise fit.

It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
  • I'm 4 1/2 weeks pp. I somehow am back to my original weight but everything has shifted so can't wear my regular jeans yet.
  • All my maternity clothes are put away. Around the house I wear yoga pants. When I go out I wear maxi dresses, jean shorts (I just bought a size up) with flowy tank tops.

I haven't tried on real pants yet, but this is what I have sung to myself after my past two when I tried them on for the first time.
