So glad to see this update! FWIW with my son's pregnancy, I lost his twin very early which caused a lot of bleeding (very heavy at times, I was convinced I was miscarrying again). It may have caused the SCH that then stayed around for the duration of the pregnancy (I bled/spotted daily until the day I went into labour). All of that is to say that my experience absolutely corroborates your doc's explanations. I hope that the bleeding stops soon and will keep you and your LO in my thoughts.
That had to be quite scary. I had no idea this early it would have made such a mess... i just assumed it would "dissolve" or not even be a factor.
I think it usually does reabsorb without issue, or with some minor bleeding. Not always I guess. My RE was never able to actually confirm that the loss of the twin causes the hematoma and all the bleeding - I think it was possible that the hematoma would have developed anyway. Regardless, I'm happy to see your update and hope that everything continues to go well for you (and that the bleeding stops, because I know it is scary).
