DD has been participating in the Sunday School craft the last few weeks.
She usually flits from the activity to playing by herself and back again but she has been sitting and joining in so we've been getting cute projects It's a skill her speech/school team and social skills team have been working on so I'm excited to be seeing progress!

Charlie just got up on all fours like he was going to crawl! He didn't go anywhere and immediately went back to a sit, but it's the first time he's ever done this. We had a terrible well check last week where we realized he was behind in so many areas. He hadn't picked up any new skills in a such a long time. It seems like in just the last few days he's started progressing again.

The kid jumped right in for his first swim lesson while all the neighborhood darlings were losing their minds on the pool deck. He's also been a surprisingly enjoyable human being without the stress of school--minus the unending "Star Wars" chatter. Less pew pew, child.
The baby repeatedly rolled over at six weeks, but I think that was a ploy to get out of tummy time.
DD1 reads books to DD2 almost every night now. It's super cute and good practice. They ask if they can read a book before lights out, then climb into bed together and DD1 does the reading. Love them!
DD1 has been doing better at remembering to wiggle her tooth. I'm still not sure we're going to avoid another extraction, but at least she's trying.
DS had an evaluation yesterday at speech. When he was first evaluated just after 2 years old, his expressive language was that of a 12-15 month old. As of yesterday, pretty much a year later, he is basically caught up! He certainly still has articulation errors we need to work on but he's using way more verbal communication vs. non verbal!
Plus if you didn't see my separate post, he got into preK!!!! Four mornings a week for the entire school year but both his slp and I think this is the best thing for him!
It has been awhile since I posted, but DD has started to eat by mouth much more. We started behavioral therapy and the 1,2,3... stop method is working wonders. I even have gotten her to eat without coaxing or negotiating.
DS seems to be attempting to communicate more. A mix of words, sign and gestures. He's signed more, milk and maaaaaybe food this week. He just now handed me a snack he wanted me to open and said,"Ma ma ma" (I think meaning my name so I would look over and help him). He also said, "daddy car home" today. Pretty sure that was echolalia since I had just asked him if daddy's car washome...but whatever, it's a step.
DS passed his belt test yesterday and is now a yellow belt. He so proud and said he's going to do everything he can to get the next belt. He's starting to find motivation in achievement which is awesome.
He's also progressing in swim lessons. I think he might actually swim before the summer is over. He's been at the same level for about 3 years.

Learning swimming has been a hard road for him, i hated it as a kid, but living in florida, knowing to swim is necessary.
