I've seen a couple posts about the second trimester "energy boost" being a big fat myth and I'm confident that that's correct.
I go to work, am home by around 5 & then almost every night sleep from 8pm-7am all while tossing, turning, sweating, getting up to pee, and waking up from crazy dreams.
Basically I feel like a slob and I feel bad that DH just sits around all the time watching me sleep. Anyone else???
Re: Does everyone still sleep 24/7?
I'm on board with believing it's a myth also.
I'm more tired now than in the first tri with worse nausea. I can barely keep my eyes open past 8pm. I used to get up around 5am every morning without an alarm clock and now I'm hitting snooze right until the last second so I can make it to work on time for 9am!
I feel bad because DH wants to plan "fun" things to do this summer but I'm scared I'm going to be too tired and sick to follow through
terberell Heard. THAT.
We went to the zoo a couple weekends ago and my fears were confirmed. My back/legs/feet were killing me and I was so exhausted. It took me almost 5 days to be normal after that and I was no 'complainy' that it was annoying to even me!
Just let me sleep
I feel like I'd be less tired if I didn't have to get up and pee 3+ times/night.
I'm definitely not as tired as First Tri. I am one of those lucky people who did get an energy boost when I started into my Second Tri (don't hate me!). I still go to bed around 9 pm and have a restless sleep until 6 am, but I am not as zonked all the time for sure.
I went to NYC last weekend walked everywhere and although I was exhausted, I was able to get through the day.
N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!
I felt the same way with my last pregnancy too. Was "okay" up until week 28 or so - then I was just a swollen, insomnia-ridden, miserable woman.
Try to enjoy the 2nd tri while you can
