Happy Wednesday Ladies!! Hope everyone is doing well!! I'm leaving for vacation this weekend for the week and will have limited internet access so @HoldingOutHope has offered to run the check-in next week!

AFM:

I am 5dpo/dpiui. I triggered last Wednesday and had my IUI on Friday. DH’s sample was awesome and I had two great looking follies at trigger. I know I O’d Friday afternoon because the pain in my ovaries almost knocked me on my butt! I’m trying to stay really positive about this cycle, but as I get closer to testing date I’m getting more and more nervous. I just want to protect my heart. I just have to keep reminding myself that my body did the absolute best it possibly could. We still have time for one more IUI before moving to IVF so I’m trying not to obsess. We’re leaving on Saturday for a vacation at a cottage on one of the Finger Lakes here in upstate NY. I plan on brining one FRER to test on July 4^th. I’ll be 14dpo at that point and if it’s a BFN I’ll stop my progesterone so my period will start for the next cycle. Special hugs to anyone who needs them this week!!

My week has been frustrating, I have not O'd and just ran out of sticks for my Clear Blue Fertility monitor and will been to buy them at the store ( for $67!!! ) ugh!

Hi ladies. Can I rejoin this check in?

The D&C for my 5th loss was Thursday. I have my first post D&C beta draw tomorrow so we can start tracking my levels down. My WTF appt is scheduled with my RE on 15 July (my 32nd birthday) and we will hopefully have the D&C results by then and can come up with a path forward. I'm starting to lose hope that I will be able to carry a baby to term but I'm not quite ready to give up yet.

QOTW: I have a didelphic uterus (I have a duplicate uterus and cervix). Most people IRL don't know that about me but a lot of ladies here probably do.

@frenchteachermama I have so many appendages crossed for you!!!!! I will be thinking of you on the 4th! Enjoy your vacay!

@mara005, I looked at that OPK when I was trying to decide what to get at Walgreens... yikes! $67 for sticks! FX you O soon! (after you replace your stick stash of course!)

AFM: I am feeling OK post AF... It was really short, which was annoying, because I was expecting a big ol heavy ordeal... but AF is AF and I am not complaining for a lighter/shorter cycle!

We are officially TTC again... It has almost been a year since we have actually tried... so that is giving me a little anxiety and mixed emotions... We are using progesterone this time around as a precaution, so I am using OPKs and starting Progesterone 3 days after Oing... ::sigh:: so here we go!

QOTW: there really isnt anything that people dont know about me IRL, I am quite an open book!... I suppose bump wise, people don't know that I am 1/2 Asian, does that count?

I have been such a bad bumpie. Sorry for falling off the face of the planet between the end of the school year and a vocal concert of Mozart's requiem has kept me super busy over the last two weeks. I'm excited that even though I already o'd this month we officially going to be burning the bench while on our cruise/Italy trip. We are leaving later this week so I'll be gone for about 2 weeks. I probably won't be able to check in here until I come back. (((Hugs))) to all you amazing ladies.

As for me-

Our appointment yesterday went well. My OB went ahead and took the blood from DH and I for the chromosome testing and our results should be back in 2-3 weeks. That will hopefully tell us a lot. We're scheduled for clotting testing in 6 weeks as well. Based on the chromosome results, we'll either meet with a Genetic Counselor to discuss any abnormal results or, if normal, we'll continue the testing and start meeting with a MFM. My OB did already mention IVF with PGD if it is found to be chromosomal, so at least we know that's out there.

It sucks that we're benched for a while but at least I feel like we have a plan and are being productive!

QOTW- I never know what to say on these types of questions, I'm pretty boring

Just got my beta draw and should know the number by the end of the day. No sign of AF. If that's still the case in a week, I'm supposed to consult with my RE. Luckily I'm deep into revisions on my 2nd book, so I've got distractions. But still... I'm feeling frustrated.

QOTW: most people don't know about my losses, actually. Just a select few friends & family and co-workers.

I hope the recovery from the D&C gets easier on you ((Hugs)). I hope your appointment on the 15th goes great! @callalily30- so sorry you find yourself back here ((Hugs)) hun. I hope your appointment goes great on the 15th and you can get a good plan in place. @jlworden710- glad AF was easy on you. FX for you this cycle! @kate6214- Your vacation sounds amazing, I have always wanted to go to Italy. Hope you have a great time!! @sunflwra- I'm glad your appointment went well yesterday. I hope your testings go well and help you find a plan going forward. AFM: MH and I have decided to stay benched until after the hysteroscopy. I have had some people mention to me that think I might have hyperthyroid (they don't know about my losses) because no matter what I do I can't gain weight, I shake all the time really bad, I have random spouts where my heart will just out of nowhere start beating really fast, so I'm thinking I might ask to get tested for that. Even if all testing comes back clear MH said he needs sometime to heal since our losses were only 2 months apart I agree with him, that's a lot to be hit with. NTTCALR: My Duke hasn't been doing to well this week. On Sunday he had a horrible seizure and I found him laying on the ground outside, his tongue was purple and he was chocking on his own salivia. Then the next day he fell downstairs. He is at the vet right now being monitored. I'm a complete mess, he is almost 10 yrs old but I just don't know how much more my heart can take right now. So if you could spare some positive vibes Duke would greatly appreciate it

@HoldingOutHope The RPL bloodwork part didn't take too long, but the karyotyping did in terms of length of time. I just read your TP thread and wow. That is just awful. I can't believe that your aunt especially would think that was helpful. Major TPs all around.

@CallaLily30 I'm so sorry you have to be back here. Sorry for your loss. Rest up.

@jlworden710 I'm glad AF finally came even if it wasn't what you expected. GL this cycle!

@Lilnugget19 I took a longer break after my second loss and I think it has been good for my body, for my marriage, everything. I know now that we are moving forward in a good place. I'll send some good thoughts for your Duke. Seizures are scary business.

@jj32 Welcome. I'm sorry for your losses. I'm just coming off a self benching and it was worth it to me. My husband and I are both now mentally ready. Have fun in Boston. It's such an awesome city!

AFM, I was only officially on vacation Thurs and Fri last week. Other than that, my temps have been returning to typical pre-O temps, so I hope my betas are negative or close. I have a post-op appt next week and will have betas drawn in addition to RPL, karyotyoing and MH will get an SA. Our consult with the RE is scheduled for July 15. I imagine not all the results will be in yet, so I suspect we'll go back a couple more times to get a plan fully in place. We plan to take the summer off and then start "the plan" as soon as we get home from a vacation to Mexico in September. So...I'll be over here twiddling my thumbs for a while. QOTW: I am pretty musically talented, though I don't do much with my skills anymore. When I was little, I taught myself how to play the piano completely by ear, never having taken lessons. I also played violin for a while. Then got really into singing - I was in competition choir for years. Now MH leans on me for my ear, as he plays in several bands and comes up with original bass lines; I have final approval authority on his tunes. Love and (((hugs))), ladies. :x

I'm so sorry you were in so much pain! ((hugs)) Hope you were able to enjoy a little bit of your vacation!! I'm so glad you are going to see an RE and get all of the testing done. YAY for burning the bench!! I totally understand that mixed feeling about TTC again. FX that your surgery will help you carry your rainbow!!!! How is summer break treating you so far?

Italy?! That's amazing!!! Hopefully you'll conceive your rainbow in Italy and be able to name him/her after your trip....like Rome or Naples (jk)

((hugs)) That's what we'll be doing in September if my next 2 IUIs are unsuccessful. It's so great that is an option for you. It does suck being benched but at least you are being proactive in the mean time.

Awww little Duke, I am sending you every single positive vibe possible. I haven't even had the chance to steal him yet. I love my Arnold so much I can't imagine how upset you must be right now. If I could hug you in real life I would. Sometimes taking a break can be really healing for everyone. Are you going to see your primary about your thyroid?

I'm hoping you're feeling frustrated because you are PMSing. I hope AF starts soon and you won't have to consult with the RE. Good luck with the revisions!!!

Good morning! This is my first check in here- so I hope I am correct by jumping in.

Background: I intro'd on Monday. I have had early two losses. My RPL testing came back normal and my doctor says they will start me on progesterone each month after I O.

I am on my first period since my loss and it was heavier than normal and I was very moody and got a lot of headaches. I think I am at the tail end of it now which is good because we will be heading to Boston tomorrow for a wedding this weekend up in NH, so I am excited to do some exploring around. I have never been to those parts. Plus I just need a break!

I am thinking that I may bench myself this next cycle because I am not sure I am emotionally ready to try again.

Edit to add question: QOTW: What is something special about you that most people don't know about? I am a pretty open book so not sure what to consider "special" I can wiggle my ears- more quirky fact than special.

Welcome to the group. Have fun at the wedding!!! Boston is AWESOME. I'm glad that you are taking care of yourself and taking the time to wait until you are ready to TTC again. ((hugs))

@Frenchteachermama and the other MML ladies, happy Wednesday! It's a cloudy, rainy, and muggy day here in CLE...perfect day for bumping and crafting in my book!

@liamadi1 ~ How is your 2WW treating you?!

Honestly, I have been doing pretty good considering it is the first 2WW I have had since October. I'm 8 dpo and I'm getting antsy already, but I know that a) it's unrealistic to think it could happen with our first cycle off the bench and b) the progesterone supplements are known to increase breast tenderness so I'm trying not to look too much into symptoms. DH's birthday is Saturday, but I'm going to try and hold off testing until Monday/Tuesday. It's slightly bittersweet because with our second loss it was the EXACT SAME TIMING as it is this year...just a year before.

QOTW: What is something special about you that most people don't know about?

I have a step-twin sister! Long story, but my mom got remarried 10 years ago to a lovely man who has three kids...one who just happens to have my birthday. My exact birthday! We were both born January 3, 1984 and now she is my step-sister. We don't really spend a lot of time together (she lives in Chicago and I live in Cleveland), but it is a fun little story!

@Frenchteachermama, SO JEALOUS of your vacay! I love the Finger Lakes! Have the best time and try not to think about testing. You have a good mentality right now...your body has done everything it can. Thinking of you!

@HoldingOutHope, I've been thinking about you. ((hugs)) Glad to hear about the temps and hopefully that is a good sign your body is getting back to normal. That's a hurdle in itself, so piece by piece you are physically recovering which is good.

@CallaLily30, ((hugs)) for having to be back, but we love you and this is a safe place for you. Keep that positive attitude...it's the one thing you can control at the moment.

@jlworden710, welcome back off the bench!! This was also our first cycle off the bench and I started progesterone 4 days after I O'ed. It's not too bad, but I have been "leaking" a lot more so I invested in some pantyliners until I can test on Monday/Tuesday.

@sunflowera, being benched does suck, but it gives you a chance to get a plan in place and when the time comes again to TTC, you will be READY!

@BookishMomma, ((hugs)) and good luck with the revisions!

That's so cool about your step twin sister! At least Cleveland and Chicago aren't too far away

Progesterone is such a mind fluck...I know it's going to help in the end but it definitely helps to play tricks with our minds! I hear you about the timing. I think this month is hitting me worse than my EDD for some reason. Maybe because we were carefree and not worrying about TTCAL.

AF is here, the bench is burned! I am currently on cd4. I also got a call from my OB and he is on board with prescribing me femara. I am not going to do it this cycle though, I will for the next.

WHOO HOO! That's great! I've done 3 cycles on femara and have not had a single side effect other than cramping around O which is to be expected since my ovaries are working over time. Are you going to be doing monitoring too?

@frenchteachermama I’m really hoping this is your cycle! I’m so glad your IUI went well. I know exactly what you mean about protecting your heart. I wish we didn’t even have to know about a BFP and the doctor could just tell us at like 10 weeks that everything looks good. I hope you have a wonderful trip and a BFP for us when you get back!

@mara005 that’s so expensive! I just try to keep stocked up on all that stuff from Amazon and if I end up keeping the next one I will donate to a friend who is TTC.

@holdingouthope I am so sorry you had such a terrible Saturday. Enjoy your time with family. Can’t wait to see your memorial tattoo!

@lilnugget19 That’s good you are taking some time off. I’ve been thinking about taking more time off as well. 3 losses in 6 months is brutal. I’ve also wondered about my thyroid. My weight never fluctuates (I’m not stick skinny but I’m pretty small) I get heart palpitations sometimes. I’m getting tested in a couple of weeks. Saying prayers for Duke! That just breaks my heart.

@jj32 Welcome! I’m sorry you had a hard time with AF. This roller coaster of hormones we all go through is so tough.

AFM: I finally met my RE on Monday. He totally acted like this wasn't a big deal, sees it all the time and has never had a patient in my position that hasn't gone on to have another baby. I kind of wanted to punch him but it really made me feel better. He said it is good that they are technically just chemical pregnancies which are so common. Going to have an SIS after AF to check for scar tissue (please pray for none of that) but he's not really worried about it. Also running all the RPL tests and clotting tests again. Depending on what kind of news I get after these tests, he said we could try again next month. If I don't try or don't get pregnant, I'll start Femara in August. He said something interesting: apparently there are some doctors in Europe that believe women that get pregnant very easily have a higher chance of miscarriage. Maybe that makes sense if my cervix is like "oh hey everybody, come on in!!!" So all the sperm, good bad and ugly have a shot. Eeek.

ETA: I have a really hard time showing any kind of emotion. I think most people would be surprised if they could see what I'm really thinking and feeling. I feel a lot of love for people in my life and I have a hard time showing it. Need to be better about that!

Even though you wanted to punch him, I'm so glad to hear he's confident that you're going to have another baby and still running all of the tests and SIS. I like the plan he has you on. What does your DH think?

Thankfully, ours was only 2 vials from each of us. She did say though that when I come back for the clotting testing it will probablly feel like she's draining all of the blood from my body!! I'm glad that we have all of these wonderful advances but it would be really nice if we could get to some crazy technology where you put in one drop of blood (like the iron tests) and it can tell you everything you want to know!! Good luck with your testing!

AFM: Tomorrow I have monitoring blood work to check for HCG due to the PMP. So FX for no HCG! Additionally, they are checking my progesterone levels to see if I have ovulated... which I do not think I have. Then the RE will give me provera to jump start my cycle and I can continue with infertility testing next cycle.

I am scared about the partial molar pregnancy (PMP). I really hope my HCG levels have not increased. They were negative after my last D&C. I am worried about what a PMP can morph into... such as cancer.

What is something special about you that most people don't know about?
I've been around TTCAL long enough that most people already have heard that cool stuff about me. Another little known Ras fact is that I was the first person in my family to graduate from college.

@jesswein9 ~ How are you feeling so far about this first cycle after burning the bench?

Most of the time I feel pretty optimistic about TTC again, but sometimes I feel like I am being too hopeful and will have a huge letdown if this isn't our cycle. According to my OPK's O'ed either yesterday or today, so I'll just wait to see what my temps do to confirm the date. Either way we had good timing, but that often doesn't mean anything. I'll start progesterone tomorrow as long as my temperature looks to be a post-O temp. My RE told me to start progesterone the day after O which I had never heard anyone say before. I've always heard people talking about starting on 3dpo so it was confirmed, but as long as I have a clear confirmation with my temps and OPK I'll start it as soon as possible. I think I will probably test around 11dpo since I have gotten positive results at that time.

Hi lovely ladies....this will be a post and run since I am on vacation and on my iPhone. ((Hugs)) to anyone that needs them. FTM I hope you have a nice relaxing vacation and come back with great news!
Vacation is going great....I am already sad about it being over in 2 days. We are at the beach with another couple and it's been a lot of fun and very relaxing. Other than thst I am just waiting to o....should be happening late this week or this weekend...so I am kind of just twiddling my thumbs over here and trying to be relaxed this cycle.

I'm so sorry about your PMP. I just found out yesterday that a new friend I made here just found out she has a PMP too. She schooled me on what a PMP is. I feel terrible for you. It's like kicking you when you're already down...you find out you've miscarried and then you have to worry about the PMP. I hope they don't find any hcg and no strange cells from the pmp!

AFM: I'm solidly in the 2WW now. We had great timing this cycle and so far my chart is looking great, but I know from past experience that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Having just had 2 consecutive CPs I will not be testing early and will wait until next Tuesday (17DPO) if AF hasn't shown up before then. I would rather just not know if it isn't going to work out. I haven't bought any pee sticks yet so I can't be tempted to test early.

QOTW: I have heterochromia (two different colored eyes) and I also have my motorcycle license. If you knew me IRL you would never guess that second one!

AF has not shown up.... I'm stuck in beta hell and my beta only dropped by 3 points in 7 days. To say I'm disappointed is a gross understatement. I just cannot deal right now with my body still thinking it's pregnant .....longer than I was actually pregnant. It's really making me sad

My week has been super busy at work...so I'm beyond exhausted. I can't wait for the weekend.
