Cant find a donor that is healthy and available. Looking at being happy with just the two of us.
Hugs to daydreamer. FX your Dr. KK appts and DEgg cycle are here before you know it!
PAIF Check-In: Not a lot going on right now, which is great! Babies seem content inside and MFM reassured me last week that an increase in protein output alone is not cause for concern. Just as long as my BP and labs keep looking good then all should be fine. Today I am going to a chiro/acupuncturist that helped flip a friend's baby. FX the methods work on twins! If not, at least it's not anything invasive that can harm them.
QOTW: Another Barbie lover here! I had tons of them and when my sister felt she was too old to play with hers, I inherited them. And @liz4paws, it's not just brothers that are mean! My sister liked to cut my Barbies' hair (a la Sinead O'Connor) just to make me mad.

Would love for all of you to join the vigil for Manada & Healz413 on Wednesday. LGBT is my home board, we aren't a huge community so everyone there is like family. We're all so crushed for them. Having had a 2nd tri loss myself, it's been really hard the last few days thinking of what they are going through and remembering that awful time for myself. Life is just not fair sometimes. In any case, we carry on...
I had a good appointment overall on Thursday! Baby is down to the 70th percentile weighing in at 4 lbs 3 oz at 31w. I'm ok with a little bigger vs. too small, but so happy she's down from the 90th percentile!
While I think you all know I'm beyond grateful to be pregnant, I must say having gestational diabetes is the pits. It's been really hard to manage and my placenta keeps doing its thing with makes getting good numbers a total moving target! Then over the past few days, my numbers have been great, making me worry now that my placenta is pooping out! Can't win! So I'm going on Wed. at 32w and getting another u/s, NST and seeing the doc who is the best for dealing with blood sugars. I'm hoping I'm just finally leveling out and she can help me trust that to be true!
Also, baby is transverse... her head is under my right rib, and feet are over to the left, which explains why most movement I feel is over there. I'm hoping she turns but she's only ever 1 time been head down in my 2 billion ultrasounds, so at 33w if she is still, I am going to also try a acupuncturist who helps turn babies, and some of the exercises on www.spinningbaby.com that focus specifically on transverse (they are whacky, but what the heck). Otherwise, it will be a c-section as one cannot shove the broad side of a watermelon through a vagina... the good news though is they won't do it until at least 39w and even said I can opt to wait until my due date! That was a relief as I want her to cook as long as possible (though in late August, I may think doing it a week early would've been a wiser choice).
All up, things are just fine. These are all small things but some days, the feel bigger than they are. We are going away this weekend and I'm super excited for that!!
QOTW: Oh I love this board...you're all my age! People on LGBT answered this and half the toys I'd never heard of! I LOVED my fisher price people, McDonald's, Lincoln Logs and weebles. Also my Little House on the Prairie book set. Oh and my blue and white plastic record player. And - wait for it - I NEVER owned a Barbie!!! My next sister down had them and the 3-story house with the elevator. But I wanted other things I guess, and yet I am a fairly girly girl.
Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!

Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!
Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle
AFM: I had CD2 labs drawn to see what my current FSH is. My RE usually will not assess this if one has a reasonable AMH, but since mine is undetectable, she would like to know what we are working with. I am also being tested to see if I have been exposed to CMV in the past. This will influence our decision of what sperm donor to choose. I just do not understand why this is important? I think the risk of getting CMV from a transferred embryo has to be really low. I am also wondering why they test sperm donors, and not egg donors? To be honest I hope I am positive for the antibody, so it doesn't limit the sperm donors we are interested in.
I hope that this cycle is our secret recipe for success. We have been going through this for far too long!! We have now been TTC more than half our marriage and it's taking a toll. I just want to be the couple we were before IF, not worrying about stupid IF and the financial burden that goes along with it!! (Sorry for the vent).
QOTW: Does a Snowboard count? I picked one up at 15/16, the best toy I have ever had!!

Most of what I've looked at online shows the use of 2 moxa sticks propped up on books by the edge of pinky toes. I think that would be too hot though. We just used 1 big stick and the lady sat by my feet and held the stick about 1/2 to 1 inch away from the outside corner of my pinky toenail (UB67) and switched sides every 30 sec to 1 min or when it got too hot. There was definitely movement, though not flipping, during the process and I've been feeling different types of movements this morning. Hopefully it's working! Also, articles say to do it in a well ventilated room. I'd highly suggest doing it outside and right before you take a shower!! The smell is so strong!
This link explains it: https://www.pregnancy.com.au/birth-choices/breech-birth/moxibustion-for-breech-presentation.shtml
ETA: The above link says for breech presentation, but in the article it says it can be used for transverse also.

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

I've been gone for two weeks on vacation and it seems like I've missed a lot! @manada and @healz413 - I am so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you.
@marshmellowevening - Hooray for a mid-July transfer!
@cushie77 - I understand wanting to be able to experience pregnancy, but is there a way that you could do both? That is actually what we decided to do... my husband really wanted us to experience a pregnancy together, and I wanted an immediate baby - which is why we chose foster care. We ended up fostering two kids before starting our first donor egg cycle.
Check in- I'm mid FET cycle. I did a couple weeks of birth control, and have started lurpron. Had my first estrogen check yesterday (it was 5) and will start E2 Valerate on Monday. Our transfer is tentatively scheduled for July 18!
