I want to like Emory but when I say it, it's automatically Emery Board to me :/

    Carter isn't bad.

I LOVE Dawson (Reminds ppl of Dawon's Creek, which I've never seen!) and DH says absolutely not....jerk :|

As of now, we're choosing between Grayson & Brody

Carter seems to be gaining in popularity. I'd say Emory!

Between the two I like Carter
  • FYI everyone is a stranger on this board grow up sweetie
  • Everyone else thank you for your inputs
  • Get off your high horse anybody can post where they want to , didn't know you had to be here for a while and I damn sure didn't know you owned this board you didn't have to post at all bored much ? Like I said before grow up I didn't ask strangers to name my kid smart ass I asked for suggestions .
  • I love the name Carter and I'd use it myself but DH thinks it sounds like some uppity polo playing rich blonde kid's name. I disagree and think its super cute. I think of Emory as traditionally an African American name. I also like that name but not as much as carter.

Whoa OP! No need to be defensive. And calling you a stranger really shouldn't insult you, especially if you don't know the person who called you a stranger. Who cares if a stranger to you points out that she (or we) don't know you. By reacting defensively you just put up a wall between yourself and anyone who might want to help you.

And fwiw, a friend named her dd Emery and everyone thought her name was Emily. She ended up changing it legally a few months after she was born. Not sure that this would happen with and little boy as easily, but just thought you might want to know.
  • Emory is a great name but I know a few girls with that name so my vote is for Carter.
  • Not sure why the trolls are out all day. Deciding where you can and can't post things. Between the lemons and the cheese comments all day I've decided people clearly have nothing better to do
  • Didn't realize this was an such exclusive site and forums. My apologies

I know more girls named Carter than Emory!

  • I love Carter. This was name we were going to use if we were having a boy. I like Emory but for a girl.
