We had been doing so good with our 4 hour, 3 hour and 2 hour stretches at night... Tonight we are cluster feeding every hour

I'm here! She was born Saturday and I don't think my milk has come in yet. I feel so bad I feel like she's just hungry. She's fine as long as she eating but otherwise she cries
@PressLove mine has been cluster feeding in the afternoons or evenings. Should be interesting when DH goes back to work next week and I'm alone with dd1 and the LO
We cluster fes from 6 to 9 and then he was comfort suckomg and wide awake soi stuck him in the ktan and he conked out. We're on our second motn feed since then and his sister will be up in two hours or less. I need to get him waking up a little closer to when she does so I can actually get some decent sleep between his last feed and her waking up. Sigh.
I think it's funny that my LO wakes up 20 min before hubs has to get up for work. He's a bad "give me 15 more minutes" guy, so it's like a pre-wake up for him. I know he sleeps all night because I watch it, but her crying for that 30 seconds equates to "I didn't sleep at all!" comments from him. I just laugh and assure him he did sleep ALL night long.
June '14 September Siggy challenge- Favorite things about fall
5:03am. Hello again. She fell asleep on my boob and I did too. I have that problem when I am doing the position where I lay on my back and her on my belly in bed. No idea how long she ate for, but it was time to wake up and switch sides!

I have done that sooo many times lol. I love waking up and she's nuzzling my boob and soundly sleeping. I wanted to post a pic once but wasn't sure if anyone would be offended by my top of the boob shot.

The only way I know how to hold LO when bf is the football hold, I honestly don't think I could do it any other way. This whole holding a newborn thing still freaks me out! He is a great baby though, we only have one MOTN feeding each night. I just feel like at some point my luck is going to run out with him sleeping so well.
Is this thread meant for those of us up contracting in the middle of the night too? I'm at 12 hours of painful but not so bad contracting and it's getting boring!!
@Taymiller Jealous! Not only do the nighttime feedings not seem to stop but i just had poopy diapers at 6am and 6:25am, hiccups in between, and now we are feeding again.
Most of the girls cutest moments are during or right after BFing... yeah there's boobage but I just take the pics on my phone anyways lol. I figure I can torture the kids with them later!
@BMaidPlanner - It's been 3 weeks of on and off contractions with varying levels of pain. These aren't strobg enough to think I am in labor, but 12 hours is definitely my longest run!
Ok question. How do women nurse in public without pillow support? I need these pillows!
Cradle hold just tucked in close. Throw an A&A blankies on top if you want, or just pull your shirt down a bit so only baby is visible. It'll get easier the bigger they get and the better at latching they are!
DH is sound asleep and LO finally fell asleep on my chest. I want to put her down so badly so I can get some sleep but I know the minute I move her she'll be awake again.

I use the diaper bag as a pillow. Helps keep my arms from getting tired. But yeah - gets much easier once they are bigger and have good head control. Then they basically feed themselves. It's awesome
LO just managed to simultaneously pee and projectile shit all over me during diaper change. Somehow he managed to get it in my belly button. Having kids is disgusting!
I don't know how anyone with big boobs NIPs. Mine are larger than DS's head! No way is he "covering" me.
Same here and they are floppy and sometimes I need to hold my own boob. Also, I thought I was strong but my arms get tired!
With you in the floppy boobs boat. I ALWAYS have to hold my boob to even hope to get either of them latched, but thaf makes it very difficult. Plus(tmi!) the nipple on my right breast doesn't stick out properly either. Mah boobies don't want to work with me!
I swear DD gets gas bubbles at 8 every night and I'll finally get her calmed down and it's time to feed again
This is my DD, but it's at 2-3 am. She falls back to sleep pretty quick after every other feeding, but at 2 am, she stays awake pretty much until is time for her to eat again.
I'm in the same boat with many if you ladies.... LO likes to sleep all day and up from 2-6am. When do they start figuring our night and day or is sleep training appropriate.

I am no professional but this is what I do and I am on my second baby that sleeps through the night at one month old. During the day I don't let baby sleep more than four hours or go without feeding for more than four hours (this will obviously expand as she gets older, sleeps less, plays more, and eats further apart) and encourage her to "play" more in daylight hours. I also keep her out of the bedroom during the day and in a well lit room (preferably sunlight) where everyone else is at. In the evening I keep the lights low and draw the curtains to help wind down. During the night if she wakes up I keep the room as dark as possible and don't talk to or stimulate her and encourage her to go right back to sleep after feeding. Adding in bath time at (roughly) the same time every night also helps. The activity tires them out and the warm water is soothing. I also put her in the full footy pajamas after bath time so she is extra snuggly. All this being said, you have to kind of go with the flow of baby, for instance, my little girl cluster feeds in the evening until she goes to sleep for the night so that's what we do every every night. I guess it's like a cross between feeding on demand and scheduled feeding. Having a set routine with baby definitely helps them differentiate between night and day in my opinion.
We're pretty sure LO has colic, and tonight has been exceptionally terrible. I'm now crying my eyes out and have a bad headache. He is inconsolable every night, typically from 10pm to midnight. Tonight though, he started his screaming at 8pm, and is still going at 12:20am. DH and I take turns trying to sooth him with rocking, belly rubs, pacifier, and nursing. I cannot wait for this phase to pass. Heck, at this point, I cannot wait to sleep for 10 minutes.
Been cluster feeding for almost 12 hours straight now. My nipples hurt so bad I want to cry. Cora will not go to sleep. My husband is useless and tried giving her a pacifier even though I warned him not to (she hates them and just starts gagging) so she hurled everywhere. I have not showered. I have barely eaten because my hands have been full all day (of baby). And I only got 3 hours if sleep last night. I could seriously hurt someone right now.
@emilyh107 I am right there with you. I refuse to pump if I don't absolutely have to because I'm terrified that he'll prefer the bottle like his sister did and I'll end up EPing. Circumstances are totally different but the fear is still there.
LO has fell asleep twice for like 5 minutes each. Everytime I put him down he wakes up. This was after rocking him for two hours which included two feeding sessions. It's gonna be a long night.
She just screamed bloody murder and DH got upset. She soaked through a diaper somehow and waa still peeing while I changed her, then pooped in the new diaper, screaming the whole time. Had to change her clothes too and now another feeding.
2 weeks isn't supposed to be a growth spurt, but the last 24 hours have been insane. I don't understand.
