Hi Ladies, I just got the call from my REs office and I'm surging, which I was able to back up with a few OPKs on my own today. We scheduled my first IUI for tomorrow at 11!
I'm very excited-I'll let you guys know how it goes once I'm back tomorrow...
Slowly rising betas - Ectopic suspected on 8/8/14 & confirmed on 8/11/14
Methotrexate on 8/12/14 -HCG negative on 9/2/14
IVF #1- November- Antagonist protocol: 11/1: start stims, 200iu of Follistim; 11/12 ER 17R/14M/14F; 11/17 5 day transfer of two blasts, 2 blasts and 2 expanding morulas frozen; 11/22 BFP!! (On FRER at 5dp5dt)
Betas: 9dp5dt 205, 11dp5dt 497, 14dp5dt 1,709
u/s at 5w0d- 1 sac; u/s at 6w0d 1 baby with heartbeat, another sac without a heartbeat
AFM: I had my baseline u/s this morning and the Dr. found a small cyst on each ovary. He is doing blood work to see if they are causing any problems. If they are, I will be benched this cycle; if not, we will be doing IUI #2.
@tweetyknicks Thank you for the information. That is a lot of money to spend on one cycle. I just hate the fact that the financial aspect plays such a significant role. My DH and I decided to hold off on the injectables until later on. It is probably for the best right now.
@drstef: Understood. I'm lucky to be in a place where the financial end is manageable for now. Also, my baseline u/s showed a very small cyst, but I had a larger one last time that was not screwing up hormones so I think it'll be okay. I hope you don't get benched!
IVF#1 (w/ICSI): BCP 9/9-9/23. Gonal-F, Ganirelix, Low-dose HCG (antagonist protocol). 41R/35M/32F... 2 transferred on 10/14, 14 frosties! On cabergoline to help avoid OHSS. BFN, possibly because of 90% drop in estrogen and progesterone a few days after ET.
FET#1: Transferring 2 on January 8. BFP! beta#1 (1/17): 408, beta#2 (1/20): 1310, first u/s scheduled 2/5
I've been away from the boards for a week. DH and I are travelling for work for the rest of the month and it has been really great to get my mind off things after IUI#1.
I actually think it best to go once cycle IUI and one cycle off, since I was very emotional last month.
I still have the most painful BB's and I'm CD6 on an unmedicated cycle, which has never occurred before. Really don't like how all these hormones affect me, especially not these residual effects a month later! But I just keep the eye on the prize!
Hey ladies, I'm back from my first IUI. It literally took 5 minutes and then 10 just laying there afterwards. I originally wanted to go in with a full bladder because I've read a lot of things online that it can help with the insemination placement but as soon as I got in the room the Dr asked if I had to use the bathroom and I caved and peed. I don't think the full bladder would have helped anyway because she didn't use the ultrasound while inseminating.
She did do a quick ultrasound before though and noticed that I had a couple collapsed follicles-looks like I ovulated before the IUI which she said was perfectly fine. She only looked quickly though and pinpointed two collapsed follicles.
I went grocery shopping right after and noticed the "oops I peed my pants" feeling...when I hit the restroom it was bloody mucous-lovely, right? The Dr mentioned that light bleeding was ok-so I'm not going to worry about that now.
I'm moving on to the TWW!
Oh, my husband's sperm sample was apparently very good at 71 mil concentration, 84% forward progressive motility and 30 mil motile cells. Is that truly as good as they made it out to be or were they blowing smoke up my a$$?
Hiiiii ladies! I have been on a treatment break for the last 4 months, but we are kicking things back into gear now. I see lots of new faces. Hopefully most of the girls who remember me have moved on by now! @lebradford can you please add me back to the list? Thanks!
1. Where are you at in the IUI process? (2WW, meds, break, etc.)
Today is CD2 and I had my baseline U/S today. Already super annoyed with my RE's office. The nurse I talked to yesterday said I would have to have bloodwork to make sure I wasn't pregnant before starting Clomid tomorrow. OK, LOL but that's fine. However when I showed up today there was no order for the labwork. I sat there while the lab lady called all kinds of names besides mine. I checked in at the desk, they said they would look into it, no one got back to me. 3 different people came and asked me what my name was but never came back to tell me what was going on. An hour later they got it figured out - good thing I didn't have to work today! ~X(
2. Which IUI are you on?
This will be IUI #2 for us (assuming I have follies on the right). Otherwise TI and try again next month.
3. Test/Beta day?
Not sure yet but probably mid-July.
QOTW: 100% biscuits and gravy. Love that stuff so much. So bad for you!

Oh, my husband's sperm sample was apparently very good at 71 mil concentration, 84% forward progressive motility and 30 mil motile cells. Is that truly as good as they made it out to be or were they blowing smoke up my a$$?
That's excellent! Doing the math, it sounds like that's the concentration when they put it into 1/2 mL for insemination.

Iui #1 was a bust...gearing up for iui#2 towards the end of this week, so I would probably test around the 10th of july...on the bright side I'm finally going to see an RE at the university hospital on june 30th...hopefully it's the only visit I have to make...:-) and for the qotw right now I would pick pizza...canadian bacon and sauerkraut or hamburger green peppers and onion...

I think I got an actual squinter this morning. It's very light, DH couldn't see it, and it definitely wouldn't show in a pic. But I definitely could see it within 3 minutes. I am extremely guarded that this is anything but my trigger somehow.
Edit: hit post too soon

Just came back from my CD11 ultrasound and I have 3 follicles on my left ovary (18, 20 and 20) and one on my right ovary at 21 mm. My uterine lining went from 6.5 mm yesterday to 8.85 mm today! I'm so excited about my follicle sizes and uterine lining. I will have my trigger shot tomorrow at 8:15. I have been undergoing acupuncture this past week and have committed to positive thinking (out loud!) and added maca root to my supplements. Fingers crossed this with be a positive cycle!

I stopped taking my prometrium suppositories, and I'm already feeling crampy. I just want to move on to the next cycle, and try really hard to not let my symptoms give me crazy brain next time.
