How to organize chest freezer?

Do any of you have any good tips for organizing and storing your frozen BM in a deep freezer? I've been freezing flat and grouping ten or so bags in a big freezer bag but in doing that I can't really stack the rows of freezer bags and so I've run out of room. I've googled this and haven't really found a solution. Would love to hear how you do it!

I was do tired of having to rearrange my bags in the freezer to addmore so I did the gift bag idea! Im glad I did but I have heard of tgem ripping so I reinforced with packing tape. All up the sides and all across the bottom.

I've used the gift bag method, I've also heard of shoe boxes.

i used sterilite ice bins in my regular freezer- they are the perfect width and height for breastmilk storage bags. you should be able to find them in target or walmart.

I also do the gift bags. One other tip, when you fill one up, label the dates (and volume if you are adding!) on the front of the bag, it helps when you have more than one bag and someone besides you retrieving milk from the freezer :-)

I purchased the cheap plastic shoe storage boxes at Target, like 5 for $5. Froze bags flat then put them in the boxes on their sides like index cards. Put a piece of painters tape on the outside with the range of dates. It was easier to rearrange the boxes than the bags and the bags of milk were better protected in the boxes. As with all freezing methods, just be careful with handling as all bags have the potential to fail at the seams when frozen then not handled gently or cautiously.
