    Ooooh I have random parenting period talk! (Pages behind on this train wreck sorry!)

    How old were you when you 1st started using tampons? Is 12 to young? Seems to young to me but periods are really cramping DD1s summer plans it seems.....

    I agree with @Maebb‌, but in @ready-or-not‌'s defense, I wasn't allowed to use tampons for like, the first year of my period. I was over fourteen when I finally convinced my mom to "let" me.

    But yeah, I'd say whatever she wants to use to get through her monthly hell is fair game.

    My mom didn't explain tampons either and I used them wrong for like two years. I didn't put them in far enough.

    She defiantly knows the difference & knows how they work, we covered all that, shes just never actually used one. She just started about 8 months ago

    My mom never taught me how to use tampons, and somehow the string got stuck up in me when I put the first one in, and I removed the tampon with tweezers. I don't why it didn't occur to me to just go in with my fingers for it, but I think I was really freaked out at that point and didn't know what to do.

    My Dad had an "abortion" talk with me in 8th grade.  As in "if you get pregnant at some point in your life before you are ready, you seriously need to consider abortion since you won't be a good mother at that time."...really dad?  Might I add that I had not even been kissed yet.  Good times.
