My Wedding Bio from back in the day
I'm a 6th grade math and science teacher in Los Angeles. My students have been pretty good this year. Tomorrow is our last day of school! I've been teaching for 12 years; all middle school.
This is my dream job. When I was a kid, I used to tell adults that I wanted to be a teacher or a principal. I love what I do. I love kids in general!
Best date you've ever been on?
Favourite childhood memory?
Best date: I'm a total beach person, so I loved going on a date to Catalina Island. Fun in the sun! Only drawback was getting there. The 90 minute boat ride made me yack. I'm prone to seasick.
Favorite childhood memory: My parents loved to go on road trips when I was a child. Too many to pick from. We drove from LA all the way up to Canada. I love our trips to Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Alamo in TX and Yosemite!
98 the year you rushed, or the year you graduated? or neither?
I'm an Alpha Phi from the University of California at IRVINE! I rushed my freshman year in 1996. Loved my experience! I'm an only child, so it was great to finally have lots of 'sisters' , The '98 attached to my screen name is the random year of started my first email account on AOL.
For my last meal, I'd love a big juicy ribeye steak (med rare) from Ruth Chris or Flemmings. I'm the biggest meat eater! I love steak with garlic mashed potatoes, a cesar salad, and warm apple pie with ice cream.
What's your favorite thing about your husband?
Do y'all like to dress up in costumes for events often? (Referencing the horse mask)
I love that my husband is the most thoughtful man ever! He's active, always likes to look for fun things to do, he's spontaneous, very ambitious, loves music & going to concerts, loves sports like me, and likes to keep the house clean.
We love getting dressed up! Halloween is awesome! We have a costume party with different themes every year in the summer. Tomorrow we're going to an 80s party. We're wondering how to dress our 21 month and 4 month old babies in 80s clothes. Should be fun though.
Sakura0019 said: Who would your celebrity BFF be and why?
Favorite book?
Favorite thing to teach?
My celebrity BFF would be Sandra Bullock. She's smart, strong, beautiful and so talented! I love her!
I don't read a whole lot. I know I should. When I was stuck for 3 hrs taking the GD test, I read 50 Shades of Grey and LOVED it! I'm not into Hunger Games, Harry Potter or Twilight. I love superhero comics like Spiderman, Batman, Superman and Xmen.
I like to teach geometry and probability in math. For science, I like teaching about earthquakes and volcanoes. Field trips are the best! Every year we take our 6th graders to the Natural History museum and the Getty museum.
Favorite pizza topping?
What's always in your purse?
Mac or PC?
I love all the meat toppings on pizza like pepperonis, bacon, and sausage. I also like mushrooms, roasted garlic, pineapples, and roasted bell peppers.
I love my Seatbelt Bag purses! I have over a dozen. I always have my real camera in my purse. I love taking pictures! The camera on my iphone is ok, but I prefer my canon camera for better pictures. I also always have some makeup in my purse along wit wallet, keys, nosespray, sunglasses and chapstick.
I love dogs, always wanted one, but my parents never let me have one. Hopefully one day. I grew up with birds instead. I had lots of parakeets during K-12. Had as many as a dozen after they had babies 3 times. After college, I only had 3 birds: a beloved parakeet, a conure parrot and a caique parrot. I was so sad when my parakeet died 4 years ago. Loved him so much! I sold my caique parrot after baby #1 was born because he was too loud. Currently I still have the conure. My husband promises me a dog one day, but he's not a pet person at all. We have our hands full with 2U2 right now anyways.
Favorite board games: Monopoly, Life, Apples to Apples and Scattergories
Best Quality: I'm extremely patient & have thick skin. I don't sweat the small stuff. I'm very loyal, friendly and will help anyone who needs it.
Worse quality: I'm the worse speller ever! That's why I teach math. Hahaha! Good thing for spell check and autocorrect.
Most embarrassing: I can't think of one right now.
Disneyland: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disneyland! I grew up in LA, so I go there often with family and friends. I'd go there EVERYDAY if I could. My best friend works there, so I'm lucky that she can sign me in for free. It's so expensive now! I've taken my babies and we have a blast!
I never had a sorority nickname or any nickname in general. My name is Angela. I hate the nickname Angie. My relatives from Hong Kong used to call me 'skinny pig' in Chinese, I guess it sounds like Angela when translated. I was a tall, skinny awkward girl with braces and long curly hair from a perm. Ew! Glad those days are over. I look at my middle school students and thank God I'm not in junior high anymore. Kids have it so much harder these days with social media, internet, bullying, guns & violence in school, raging hormones, etc.
Can you tell us any of the hazing rituals you had to do?
Our university did not allow hazing, although each frat and sorority had their own rituals to embarrass each other. Nothing crazy or dangerous though. I do remember being kidnapped in the middle of the night from my dorn along with my other pledges. We were blindfolded the entire time and made to drink & take various shots. When my Big Sis found out, she was pissed! She was president at the time and punished those involved. They were put on probation and banned from all social events that year. I don't remember doing anything else stupid or crazy when I was a pledge. I loved living in the sorority house. Good times with my best friend!
If you had to relocate to any other state which would you pick?
Do you want more children or are you finished?
What's your favorite chain restaurant?
If I had to relocate, I'd love to go to Hawaii. As you know I'm the total beach girl. I still think California is the best. We've got it all! The sun, snow, desert, mountains, beaches etc. We have earthquakes occasionally (not bad), but at least we don't have to deal with yearly hurricanes, tornadoes, harsh winters, floods etc.
I would love one more baby, especially another girl. But DH said he's done. Two is enough for him. We had this discussion last weekend. It kind of made me sad, but it's okay. I'm happy with our family!
Favorite chain restaurant is Cheesecake Factory. Love their food, big menu, variety and of course their cheesecakes!
I'm safe, but I'm always going to drive faster than the average person. I was way worse in my 20s. I got all my speeding tickets, accidents and craziness out of my system already. My friend used to say I drive like Annie Hall. LOL! Now with 2 kids, I'm more safe.
I'm also a major procrastinator. Can't help it. No matter what, I'll always get the job done on time. I guess I always wait to the last minute.
One thing you think people would be surprised to know about you?
Guilty pleasure TV show?
Favorite junk food?
Surprised to know: I've gone sky diving. I've flown through the air on a trapeze (so much fun!), I'm an only child. I play beach volleyball. I'm the biggest LAKERS fan. I can play the piano. I tried out for Wipe Out, too bad I didn't make it.
TV: I loved Bev Hills 90210 when it was on tv, both old show and the new show. I love Sex & the City. I could watch it anytime!
Disneyland follow-up questions: Do you prefer attractions, shows or meeting characters? Did you ever witness or have happened to you anything "magical"/special at the parks? Top 5 things to do there?
Unrelated Sweet or salty? What are you afraid of?
I love it all. Makes me feel like a kid when I'm there. I'm soooo happy when I'm there. I love the rides like Space Mountain, Pirates, Indiana Jones and Peter Pan. I absolutely love Fantasmic! It's my favorite show. I could do the dances and Mickey's moves from the show. When I was a kid, I loved the Electrical Parade! I miss it! Hearing the music today is so nostalgic. I'm a total picture person, so I'll get pics with the characters if the line isn't too long. Hmm...magical? I kind of think the whole experience is special. It truly is the happiest place on Earth! My top 5 things to do there are: take pictures in front of the castle & make a wish in the fountain, go on my favorite rides, listening to all the Disney music everywhere, shopping on Main Street, and the fireworks. I can't wait to go this summer!
I'm totally a sweets person! I'll eat salty snacks sometimes like chips or fries, but I love sugar!
Do you wear makeup or do you prefer not to? If you do, what beauty item can you not live without? What's your favorite shade of lipstick?
I wear makeup. Not a whole lot, but I wear it everyday. I keep it natural. I wear Sheer Cover makeup, it's a mineral makeup like Bare Essentials. I love their concealer. I can't live without it. It covers everything really well, like my dark eye circles, acne and freckles. I don't wear eye makeup, only on special occasions. It bothers my contacts. I also like Bobbi Brown makeup. They did my makeup on my wedding day. Since I'm not big on eye makeup, I LOVE lipstick. I have big full lips. My favorite color is Raisin Rage from Revlon. Been buying it for years. I like wine & burgundy colors.
broccoli's_girl said: Would you run next to your husband for a 5k if he was dressed as a Swingline stapler, or would you put plenty of distance between you?
It's all good! We embarrass each other all the time, so I'm up for anything when it comes to him. There'd be plenty of distance between us anyways because he runs way faster than me. He completed a marathon in less than 4 hrs. Crazy! I'm active, but not to his level.
If you could meet any historical figure, who would it be?
Favorite tv show from the 90s?
What do you do to relax?
I'd love to meet Mother Teresa or Princess Diana. Such extraordinary women!
I loved Beverly Hills 90210, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Friends, Saved by the Bell, and Boy meats world.
I love to relax at the beach. The sounds of the ocean are so soothing and plus it's so beautiful there. I also like to window shop and walk around the mall.
My parents have a sun conure! He is beautiful.
Sorry for all my random jumping-in posts, lol... still catching up.
I love birds! I've always wanted a cockatto, hyacinth macaw AND African Grey. So beautiful and smart! My husband would never agree to it. Sometimes I go to local bird stores to see all the beautiful birds. I know I can't have them, but it's nice to look.

The best vacation ever was going to St. Lucia in the Caribbean for our honeymoon. It was beautiful, fun and relaxing.
My dream vacation is going to Europe. Still haven't been there yet. So much to see and do there!

I prefer PCs.
What would the theme song to your life be?
My favorite was definitely Wonder Woman! It was amazing!
I prefer Coke, but I'll still drink Pepsi. Not picky about it. I actually don't drink a lot of soda anymore because my husband doesn't like it.
I prefer coffee. I love my Starbucks!
Which F14 poster are you most inspired by?
I love seeing everyone's cutie pies on HDBD. And I love all the funny GIFs. The board keeps me entertained when I'm bored.
My theme song would be Journey's Don't stop believing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that song!
