Tell me about teething....

What symptoms/signs did your DC have before the teeth came through?  I so thought we were going to have teeth a long time ago and we still don't.  DS has been soooo abnormally fussy the past two nights, the only way I can keep him sort of content is to have him in the front carrier and walk around the house.  However, he is fine during the day at day care.  I "think" I see the teeth on the bottom, because there are two white spots on the gums; however yesterday when I looked it is all mushy looking (which I think someone else said was a sign of teething).  DS has also been waking up every 1-2 hours at night (before he has some 3-3.5 hours stretches in there) and sometimes even gets up every 1/2 hour.  Any thoughts or advice??  I have tried teething tablets with no luck and even used the oral gel last night, which didn't seem to help either.  Poor DS is miserable!

    IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!

    Paige was actually drooly at 2 months.  I thought she was going to get her teeth early.  She didn't get her first two until 5 months old.  She then did not get anymore until 11 MONTHS!!!!!!!!! Then she got all 6 at once.  She was actually pretty good.  IT IS THE MOLARS THAT ARE KILLERS!  We use motrin.  I dont' know when you can start using that (how old they have to be) but that is the only thing that works for Paige!  GL!

    We go to the doctor on Friday, I will ask about the motrin or any other pain relievers.  It just sucks that I don't know if it is really teething or if it is something else.  I swear this is teething, but I also said that 3 months ago.  Somedays I think it wouldn't be so bad if babies were already born with their teeth.....just kidding....but on those really, really bad days it sounds better!!

    ditto on the it sucks part. Dd is currently working on three molars, ick!

    motrin, or tylenol (we haven't noticed a difference but some people swear by motrin) and lots of love. Cold foods also seem to help.
