Re: GTKY: What Region Are You In?

  • Jersey girl living in NY for 10 years, and likely indefinitely.

October is usually gorgeous, but the last couple years we have had a freak October snow storm, so who knows!

  • Midwest! Sadly, very near the Nebraska tornadoes which has me on high-weather alert!

  • Same as @FamousEa - In Columbus, Ohio it could be 80 degrees or 30 degrees here.  Last year it snowed in October, but some years we are still in shorts and a t-shirt.

This, but I'm in Toledo. Ohio is crazy.

  • West Coast Canada, Vancouver specifically. But originally from Victoria.

Weather here in October is similar to Washington. Most likely going to be cold and rainy.

I voted West Coast, but technically the Pacific Northwest (west coast is a HUGE area for only one option!)  I'm just outside of Seattle.  Grew up just outside of Vancouver, BC, with a brief (8 year) stint in hell, aka Phoenix.  I know some love it there, but it was way too damn hot for me!  So I guess I'm pretty native to the area?

I live in hell or Arizona as we call it. :) it is hot during the summer. I don't even want to go to the store right now but it typically isn't humid so it's bearable. October is really up in the air. It could still be warn or it could be freezing (like 60). I have both summer and winter clothes ready for LO. Oh, and I am a native. I lived in Florida for a year and then moved back.

@PurpleHippo19‌, what part of Florida are you in? I died in the summer there. I stopped wearing make-up because it would run down my face!
  • Born and raised in Illinois.  Chicago on October 1st- 75 degrees or 45 degrees.  Maybe I'll pack a couple different coming home outfits.

  • I was born & raised in Iowa, and live in Colorado now. But, on the 30th we are packing up and heading to Minnesota. It is my best guess that it will be pretty "fall-like" in October, but also possibly freezing.

  • I'm in the Midwest now, but I was born and raised in coastal GA.  I miss it so much!

October here is a crap-shoot.  It could be mild, or it could be cold/rainy like last year.

  • Born and raised in Michigan; now settled in Wisconsin. It can be warmer in October but  usually it is sweatshirt and jeans weather.
  • I currently live in Australia but I was born and raised in Ohio! October here is technically spring so it should be in the 70s and beautiful.
