6/12 random/aw/ss thread

Hey ladies i could use some prayers. DH and I were already going through tough financial times and have absolutely nothing saved up, living paycheck to paycheck, and with his boss firing him we have a little bit of a gap before he gets paid at his new job. And, of course, this gap is perfectly timed with when we are running out of newborn sized diapers >=/ I ordered two huge packs from BRU in anticipation of this, but they haven't come in yet and I'm down to like a day and a half of diapers!!! Please pray that either a)his paycheck comes through early, b)the BRU diapers come in, or c)we find a way to buy a pack of diapers.

I hate being in this situation. It reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents didn't know how they were going to feed me and my brothers every night. I never want my boys to go through that, and the fact that I'm struggling to buy diapers makes me feel like a terrible mom. x(

It's just frustrating having to deal with it especially bc they don't even like me since we had a falling out this past year. I want them to see the baby/grandkids but jeez, I don't want to be cuddling with them all for a week...and share 1 bathroom. If I talk to anyone of them they will twist what I say and try to make me look like a bitch-they do that a lot. I'm sure I'll be updating you ladies in the future about this situation lol.

It's hot. I'm not leaving the house today until I have to pick C up from daycare. I will sit around the house in my nursing tank and underwear with the AC on. Hopefully Charlie will have some good naps so I can get some sleep this afternoon. DH is working on his car with his dad this afternoon, so it's my trial run with both kids by myself before C goes into part time daycare next week. Wish me luck!

I'm in labor and delivery! Water broke at 12:00am at home and we headed into the hospital shortly after. Currently receiving the highest dose of pitocin but haven't gone past 2cm. Thoughts and prayers that things would start progressing would be appreciated!

This or check with a women's shelter if you have one in your area. Where I am they have a diaper depot program that you can use for situations like this as well as monthly allowances of diapers to get by until you are on your feet. This is also the same program that provides diapers to the shelter moms in our city too. Hugs and prayers things work out!

@sparklenshine_89 - keep us posted! I agree with PP, make it uncomfortable (i.e......be honest!!!). If there's any way to outright say no to this happening, DO IT.

@CJnKR2014 - I am so, so sorry you are dealing with this. Your family is in my prayers. We're looking at a possible job change right now, since DH's company (he owns it) isn't really making what it needs to make at the moment, and it's completely freaking me out.

Tl/Dr: big brother of mine is an asshat and I'm not at all excited about his engagement.

So, last week little brother got engaged and I was super excited for him. He has waited a long time to find the right girl and she's awesome. Today, big brother gets engaged, I find out via Facebook, and I am totally blegh about it. A bullet point history of his current situation:
Married ex because she told him to even though he wanted to say no at the altar.

Had two kids because that's how she suckered him into staying each time he got the balls to try and leave.

Finally left her, and the two kids, claimed he never wanted to be a father, and ran away to the other coast.

Shacked up with a married, but separated, lady, whose soon to be ex broke into his house at 3am and kicked him in the face.

Decided to move back here because he desperately needed to be a father to his children (after now divorced gf mentioned how much she wanted kids...he already had a vasectomy).

Goes to bat with his ex and gets the girls every other weekend. Demands to be in their lives full time. Finds out she's moving them all to Poland for a year and only fights that long enough to realize how much $ it would cost to actually fight her. Now all of a sudden its an opportunity for his girls.

Proposes to gf while on his last vacation with his kids before they move to Poland, tells his family about it on Fb.

I feel bad that I'm not excited, but he's an idiot. Tell me I'm not a bad person.

@Lilygrace48‌ nope. DH isn't excited about his brother's fiancée. Not to mention when they booked the wedding in Florida, his brother said something along the lines of "well we understand if you can't make it but just let us know ASAP". And when DH said he has other priorities right now (ie his child being born any day) his brother just says "oh well". His fiancée is super immature, made him move down to SC with her (we're pretty sure it wasn't his idea), kind of forced the engagement issue til he gave in, and is the whole reason they're having a wedding in Florida. Oh and she could care less about me or my kid. DH said he's done trying to bail or help out his brother. DH is 25, brother will be 29...shouldn't be that way.

DH and I are so excited for our LO to be born tomorrow but we are also pretty sad that his mom isn't here with us. Such a happy time and I know she would have been so excited. Today I am just a crazy ball of emotions, I can't stop crying.

Dumb question: Parker was born on May 21st. He will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. So would he be considered a month old, or would that be June 21st?

....So as I was leaving the house today I noticed someone left an old spaghetti sauce jar filled with water on my front porch. Is this supposed to be a pre-water breaking thing? It's just so random and I can't figure out why someone would leave it and not tell me or leave a note...

If you have any idea I would love to hear it :P

My SS:
I was expecting to be weak and on pain from my c section, but I didn't realize how much my back would hurt. My incision doesn't hurt as bad as my back. I'm sure it's from bending over C so much. I feel like such a baby!

Omg. YES. All of this. Baby is 9 days old and I'm making dinner, doing laundry, tidying,& taking care of our 2 other children, but DH does one or two things and he " is doing everything" really?!? Wtf.

@rachelnjacob‌ it's developmental milestones. There's an app, but google it, I'm sure they're available without the app. I've screen shot the first leap. Looks like you're likely in it.
