Curious as to how many boys and girls we ended up with - did you have a boy(s) or a girl(s)?

Did we have anyone who was told boy/girl and ended up with the opposite?

I was so afraid of this!! I would love to know if this happened to anyone!
  • How can we see the results so far?

  • @MK1013, my family asked if I was totally sure it was a boy, and I said well if not this girls wearing a lot of blue.

  • Everyone I worked with SWORE it was a boy bc of how I carried and were sure she'd come out a he. I was like hello, I got the chromosome testing. Were 99% sure she's a she. They were still not convinced until I gave birth to a girl. Like how you carry is an actual science.

This happened to me before delivery, I was told she was a boy at an ultrasound, registered for all boy stuff, received boy presents etc luckily I did monkeys for her bedding/nursery stuff so I just added some girl monkey stuff and did some returns when at my very last ultrasound the tech was like wait they said it was a boy? Well no it's a girl! Weirdly upsetting at the time but I guess less shocking then if it happened at birth
  • A guy on my softball team, had his baby last year. The docs said it was a girl and when the baby arrived it was a boy. They had to repaint the room, return as many things that they could. And then buy boy stuff. I couldn't imagine going through that.

Which is one of the many reasons why MH and I decided to go team green.

This happened to a co-worker of mine several years ago, BUT.... it was the reverse (which is far less common).  Apparently it is relatively common for the the sono tech to "miss" the penis and think it's a girl.  However, my co-worker was told she was having a boy and ended up having a girl!!!  To this day, I want to know what exactly the sono technician was looking at....
