  • Add Rocky Horror Picture show and that's like a list of my favorite movies, with Empire Records being the hands down favorite. I have the VHS somewhere. I love to watch Dazed and Confused almost every summer. Ever after is so cheesy, but I love cheese. I don't have quite as much love for The Sandlot, just a really good like.

  • These movies make me feel super nostalgic. Especially Center Stage. I did a lot of ballet when I was younger which is probably why my bunion is just about to pop out the side of my shoe right now.

  • Empire Records--Favorite movie from when I was little. Because, you see, I'm old.
    Dazed and Confused--Also amazing
Ever After--No clue if I've seen it. There are a few HS and college years in there spent partying and, well, memory isn't so great.
    Dead Poets Society--Love
Center Stage--Never saw it. But, again, maybe I did?
The Sandlot--LOVE and have made this my son's favorite movie. Go me.

I have a feeling that there is a spreadsheet with a formula calculating some number that I will receive for my answers. If it's like actual school, I'll definitely fail!

  • Empire Records is an absolute favorite.  We watched that all of the time and I will always watch it every time it is on.  It's like my spirit movie (like spirit animal, you know?)

Dazed and Confused is another that has been and will be watched again and again.

    Ever After.  Love it.

Dead Poets Society is a classic, for sure.

Center Stage, I had to look it up because I have a bad memory, but I loved it.

Sandlot, I saw it years ago, but haven't seen it in a long time.

  • I've only seen Center Stage because dancer.  It's cheese city but I love it.

I'm replying before reading the thread bc I don't want to be swayed...

Empire Records: This movie was awesome, though I liked it more in HS. I think it stands the test of time for the most part. Damn the man! Love Lucas, hate Renee Zelleweger and her character.

Dazed and Confused:  I have a love/hate thing going on with this one.  I like it in pieces (great individual scenes for the most part, good characters, memorable lines) but it always leaves me feeling a little bit down at the end of the movie, so I tend to not watch it.  I do enjoy the Austin sightings.

Ever After:  Can't get past Drew Barrymore's bad acting.  Ever.  Cute story, though.  I like the different take on Cinderella.  Angelica Huston is the best evil stepmother ever.

Dead Poet's Society: This is one of my all time favorite movies.  I would die happy if one of my students ever said, "Oh Captian, my Captian" to me.  On this list, it is the top for me.

    Center Stage: Never saw it.

The Sandlot: I love this movie.  I knew my DH was the one when he said to me (as a joke) "You play ball like a GIRL!" Also, there were other signs.  This is the quintessential summer movie for me, for childhood.
  • Empire Records - Have not seen :(
Dazed and Confused - Only seen once, but found it funny
Ever After - Nice for a little romantic escape, if the mood strikes
Dead Poets Society - Have not seen :(

The Sandlot - Childhood staple.... awesomeness

Empire records - love it! People used to tell me I look like Renee zellweger in that movie. I do not have squinty eyes- but I dressed slutty once upon a time and had blonde hair lol. Now I have short red hair and am covered in tattoos.

Dazed and confused- I could take it or leave it

    Ever after- love it!

Dead poets society- shamefully I have never seen it ... But I want to!

Center stage- love it!! I was a dancer. I love the last dance scene.

    The sandlot- LOVE it!!!

  • I'm a fan of Dead Poets Society and have to get DH on board with it. He's not a fan of Robin Williams. If I've seen any of the others it was a) ages ago and b) not memorable enough for me to have an opinion.
