It has been sort of crazy lately. I hope we've weeded out the crazies now. I'm still really close to all of the girls I met on my wedding month board and I was hoping for the same experience over here. I've still got hope and am sticking around. Just choosing to ignore the nonsense.

Irritates me because a lot of us try to offer support and we are getting grouped in with the "crazy" and "awful". I understand why outsiders think this board is nuts due to recent events, but I am a bit surprised by commentary from fellow D14 members. Oh well.

I like this board. Sure there are some crazies, but they are everywhere! And it's nice to have a group of ladies going through the same stuff that you are in the crazy world of pregnancy.

Eta maybe we need a badge for all the D14 "refugees".

That is just ridiculous. If you don't want to be involved in drama...then don't get involved. It isn't that hard. Since this is the only board I look at (my local one is like crickets) I have no where else to go... Not that I want to go anywhere.

I just started posting in parenting ... they certainly provide me with plenty of lols. But I love D14 and am here to stay ... I think most of the crazy is gone now. If not I'll break out the popcorn again, sometimes this board is better than watching tv.

Well, my responses were intended to be funny, not mean or hurtful. I really like finding gifs, and I really hate working on my dissertation.

Upon doing some "research" and seeing why some women left I understand needing to find a less pregnancy focused board. However, for the women who leave just to trash the board and lump the group as whole into some monstrous hormonal gang I don't want them back. They can't seem to focus on any of the positive that thrives on this board and so that's who my first comment was directed towards.

So does that help you see my statement for what it was or do you need me to rephrase that for you even further?

I think this pretty much sums it up for me. I've grown rather tired of the you guys are mean i'm leaving post here recently. I'm not hurt/mad/upset just irritated.

Interwebs? what's that? LOL nope, no internet at home! We have, my husband is usually on the better comp, but normally I don't have the time or desire to boot up my slower comp just to check my email. I'm too tired from chasing DD and doing the everyday pick up and clean lol.

Normally I get on Friday nights although last night was an exception because I was burning songs to itune from CDs I borrowed from the library...plus, my phone is basic, ie, no data plan!

it takes a while but really, I don't miss it that much. not having it at work though would kill me lol

I still like this board a lot because people seem to enjoy telling me in my personal life that I have no idea what I'm talking about/feeling even though I'm pregnant and they're not, and I can come on here and have a group of ladies who are exactly where I am and it's comforting to me. I'm mainly retreating because it's like everywhere I go there's conflict and freaking out and it's driving me crazy that I can't escape it (on TB and life in general). And yeah I get that that's a part of life, but sometimes I just want to talk about Sherlock and Doctor Who and forget that drama exists everywhere...I confess, a due date change was looking really appealing a few days ago when there was a hanging every other post, but I feel like I've built relationships here and know people here. I don't think there's anywhere else I really want to "belong" to, but I don't see the harm in having another board to retreat to every once in awhile. End mini rant.

I don't think anyone cares if people are on other boards. That would be weird. What is irritating is the dialogue that is negative from people who are regs here and that we offer support to. The A13 post is a good example. Also, crazy/awful are irritating as it is applied to most of as a whole.
