Jen, I must ask... Is cream cheese a big thing in Philly? If so, why?
  • Mister fixed our washing machine!!!!! We've had to baby sit every single load of laundry since early April. Thank goodness. I was about to go out and buy a whole new set this weekend in a fit of rage.

@ichabody‌ Lol not that I know of. Although, I will admit. "Philadelphia" cream cheese is the shit. I put it on anything and everything. I'll eat it straight out of the container.

  • Parking lots - Last night the woman in front of me parked in the 'expecting mothers' parking space and CLEARLY was not pregnant while I had to park no further away but glared at her while I waddled by. Its almost funny how much this annoyed me...I wanted to park in front of the poorly depicted pregnant woman sign, Ha!

The day before I had a guy move his car because he parked to close to me and I couldn't maneuver this bump to get in my car....my sister in law pointed out "wait until you are trying to get a baby car seat in when idiots park to close to you" ... I hadn't thought of that :-S

  • @JamieSejkora‌ i watched that last night with DH and totally lost my shit. He looks so purely happy .... I want all the puppies!

I was a hot mess for about 5-10 minutes! What a little sweetheart! Lets just move somewhere and open a puppy plantation and we can just snuggle and play with them all day long! Easton and Brom would love it, I'm sure. :)

Now I have the Dalmatian Plantation song from 101 Dalmatians stuck in my head!!

How do you know she obviously wasn't pregnant? She very well might not have been, but I wasn't really showing until nearly 8 months along. I never used the expectant mother spots for that reason because I didn't want people to side eye me. But she could have been early on in her pregnancy and just excited about the fact that she is an expectant mom!
I didn't park in the spot until I actually felt the effects of pregnancy (swollen feet, waddling, etc.). Now DH gets excited to park at the PX and commissary because our spot outranks all the super high ranking officers spots. Oh lord.
That's hilarious! I haven't been on the base here while pregnant to see if there is a spot like that here!

I was in worse shape when I wasn't showing (super nauseated/dizzy all the time and no energy). While I didn't use the expectant mother spots since I didn't look pregnant (and I figure they are more for the waddlers anyway!), I did take advantage of pre-boarding on flights for people with disabilities/people who need more time a few times. I'm sure people were looking at me with judgy eyes, but I didn't care because when I did not play the pregnancy card, I'd end up nearly passing out or throwing up waiting in line while everyone slowly figured out how to put their bags in the overhead bin like it takes rocket science. Whyyyyy is it so hard for people to quickly board a plane?!

  • ((((All the hugs)))) @ichabody‌ - i imagine that there will be a lot of good days and bad days ahead, but always know that you are doing the best you can for that baby, and hold on to that love.

I know that it's possible that getting away to see a therapist might be difficult once LO is here (sitter issues, etc.) But a friend of mine actually saw her therapist via Skype while she was living in Singapore...Maybe that would be an option just so that it's easier to get sessions in while being a single mom. None of my business...Just a thought in case you felt you needed it, but the logistics are hard.

  • I have my weekly check up today.  Had to add an ultrasound to it because of the fun on Friday/Saturday.  I have no reason to expect anything out of the ordinary (though it was the same on Friday) but I'm nervous that they'll see low fluid again (for no known reason at this point) and I'll be having a c-section this afternoon.

Good luck! Have you been chugging water? My fluid was significantly lower last Monday from previous weeks, but it came back up this week and I'd made a conscious effort to drink more water all week long. Had to have helped a bit, right?

So I officially spend way too much time with you ladies. Last night I had a dream where you were all basically saying "you think everyone is in love with you when actually everybody hates you". And then I couldn't sit with you.

I think my Regina George award has now come full circle.
Here's what's funny: I had a dream that you had your babeh! Eep.

  • Switched to decaf coffee this morning since I am too lazy to go to Target and restock.  Ironically, LO is all over the place- more so than with the caffeinated cup.  He has been hiccuping, swooshing, kicking, and readjusting himself constantly for the last hour!!!
